wow. okay. back to business. not super happy with the face journey in this one, but it's whatever. clearly we're getting at an overdose here with sugar. i wanted this one to be calmer, and more apparently triggered by an external motivator. sugar doesn't want to go to work, she briefly considers suicide. there's a little bit of meaning in the fact that these are the pills she takes to be a productive member of society -- to get good grades, to do her job, to accomplish errands and chores.
i wanted this to be one page, but it was either draw it out or cut beats and rush it. sugar is going to go lay back down with lola before this fantasy ends, and i felt like that was an integral part of the tone of the sequence, but it does push it over the 8 panel maximum i gave myself for one page.
