the lab coats are hot pink in this (unless i decide to make the scrubs pink) -- there are small things, like that, and the placement of the ID, that kind of liken the medical setting of sugar's job to the motifs of the nurses in fresh meat. here, the light on the time clock reminds sugar of the lock on the doors in that ward.

i'm still fiddling with exactly where i want sugar's schedule to be in the overnight, but starting at 3 sounds about right for me. one part of the changes are just that the bat's schedule also needs to be believable -- they start right around when everyone else on more regular shifts leaves.

another small detail i have for her here is that sugar clocks in with the photo on her ID facing down, away from her, where she can't see.

anyway, i don't have a lot of commentary for this page at the mo -- this is a shorter, less info-packed page to help shift gears in the narrative. the pacing of the next page will be a little more spread out, and i felt it was most appropriate to jump to that change in pacing on a new page.
