it feels SO weird to have these people working in a lab not wearing face masks, but any video taken pre-covid seemed to be that way!!! just breathing all over the tests and whatnot!!!
anyway, i feel strange about condensing a huge period of time that sucks out any full time worker's energy and social life, but at the same time, no one wants to read sugar doing incomprehensible sciencey tasks for like 10 pages.
here, she is mostly sanitizing and doing quality control. she's dropping test fluid into a rack of vials to make sure the machine she'll be using to test the blood.
also, damn people just leave things everywhere in labs. the third panel still needs a LOT more detail in it, but i figured it was sufficient for a sketch...
ALSO also, furries working human jobs that need sanitary measures is so interesting to me. i think she uses the same soap on her hands and forearms; then, there are separate soaps for fur and feathers -- in this setting, they'd be made to specifically curb shedding and to more deeply decontaminate. there are already dog shampoos that are designed to reduce shedding, but regular brushing also drastically reduces shedding. after that, there is probably some special kind of spray that helps hair dry rapidly, which you would use in tandem with paper towels. additionally, longer gloves are worn to keep any possible shedding near the hand contained and away from samples. another way i can imagine furries keeping their fur and feathers out of things is with some kind of substance that acts like a gentle hair gel, keeping any waste bound to the body until it's washed off with the gel.
anyway, that's all i have to say about this page.
