i had felix "bluescreen" here for a second because i wanted to draw attention to the fact that he did not in fact remember his speech, despite practice. he quickly goes off the path of his plan once faced with norm's judgment.
i'd also like to clarify at this point that felix's position at his place of work is swing manager. what is a swing manager, as opposed to a regular manager? unconditional availability to show up and do their job. so when felix asks for time off in the middle of a shift, it's especially egregious to norm, and especially... unwise, of felix.
obviously, a theme about "making it up" meaning fabricating a story and also meaning making amends is established here as well. this was a late edition, but i figured, "why not?"
anyway. this is a short page, the minimum amount of panels for the sake of pacing the next and previous page. i can't say much more on this one. i had just been to the DMV with the most condescending employee i've ever met, and i really channeled the experience into norm on this page in particular.
