idletry: january 2024 update
Added 2024-01-19 08:19:50 +0000 UTChi everyone. i haven't done much art, but i have done writing... act 2 is scripted. currently, i'm working on the... structural integrity of act 3. it has a lot of them due to the nature of time travel, lol. insert screenshot of emily saying she hates stories with time fuckery here. that's what i worked on today.
part of the benefit or rereading scenes over and over in my spare time is that i can spot a decent amount of impending continuity errors. i've also edited small bits of the script here or there as i reread to refine the dialogue. idletry allows for a lot of continuity errors because of jessie's powers, but the characters still need to make sense internally... especially jessie.
i think the winter weather has gotten my mood down... i usually love winter, and so did my dog. but i've been very listless and tired. doesn't help that i've been off of adhd meds -- i started taking strattera again this week, but it takes a month to kick in.
i dunno what else i can say! kinda disappointed that act 3 isn't just like the home stretch where it's just running down the hill i had to climb, but it is what it is. the script is currently at 193,000ish words. not all of the documents in the project file, just the actual script. so i haven't been doing Nothing At All even if i know i'm not the fastest at writing.
