Daily Life with Three Systems: Chapter 30

I tap away at the archive keyboard.

Fairy Wizard: "So, let me get this straight. You have some weird soul-shield that increases your strength, speed, and durability, plus grants you a unique super power. You power your cities with magic rocks, and you're constantly under assault by what I can only describe as shadow monsters. That about sums it up?"

Rosebud: "Dust isn't magic!"

Fairy Wizard: "Then, pray tell, Rosebud, where does the elemental rocks come from? Because I can assure you, a random crystal that can manipulate gravity (While not functioning outside of your planet's atmosphere) ISN'T a normal ore you'd find in most places.

She doesn't reply for a moment, causing me to let out a hum.

Well.

I've got... Ruby Rose?

I think?

It could be Summer Rose.

That means... Rwby.

Not a bad pull, honestly.

As for the others?

I'm not so sure.

Pendragon could be basically anything from Fate- which I know very little about- I'm like ninty percent sure 'Water Goddess' is Aqua from Konosuba. As for Eternal Mage?

No clue.

Eternal Mage: "Creatures of shadow that seek to kill humanity? That sounds like some form of demon's magic. They must be a quite old one at that to have advanced to a point where their mere creations could force humanity to the brink of extinction."

Oh! They speak!

Fairy Wizard: "Some worlds don't have demons I'd imagine. I'll agree with you that they don't seem natural but I kind of doubt they are the source of singular being. At least one that isn't classified as some sort of 'god'."

Eternal Mage: "A world without demons? Paradise."

Water Goddess: "Greetings! It is I! Focalors! Regina of All Waters, Kindreds, Peoples and Laws! Hydro Archon and the goddess of justice! Bask in my presence!"

"..."

Ah. It's genshin impact. Alright. Milf.

Man, I Love Furina.

Shame we got the arrogant version of her instead of the down-to-earth reserved actor... buuuut I guess that means I can support her through that turbulent time in her life.

I'll be patient with her.

I may not know a lot about her archon quest, but I do know she's pretty much constantly suffering.

That being said. Not gonna respond to the 'bask in my presence' line.

Fairy Wizard: "So, Eternal Mage, Demons? We have some in this world as well, but we more or less call them Etherious. They were actually created by some immortal wizard a few hundred years ago in an attempt of suicide. Not that I really blame him, he has had it rough."

Eternal Mage: "Demons are heartless and emotionless predators who hunt and feast on humanity. They physically cannot understand kindness, and are more than willing to abuse their looks or words to maneuver you into a situation where they can kill you."

Rosebud: "That's horrible! That sounds way worse than Grimm!"

Fairy Wizard: "Oh, those are mildly different than the ones we have here. They have emotions they just kind of have a 'detachment' from humanity you see in most immortal races as they see no need in forming connections with races who'll be dead in the blink of an eye for them. Some are genuinely evil, but others are kind of neutral. I actually have one as a familiar, she guards my library."

Eternal Mage: "If they see no need in forming connections with races that will age to dust, why does this demon follow you?"

Fairy Wizard: "Oh, my lifespan's actually quite a bit bigger than a normal person's. I'll fully admit that I'm still quite young but I am also one of those 'ageless' races. At least to a lesser extent. Honestly, I still haven't TRULY comprehended that every person outside of a select few around me are going to be dead in less than 1% of my total lifespan. That's kind of haunting. So. What's your gimmick, you're immortal, right? Or at the very least ageless."

Rosebud: "Wait, you'll live for a thousand years?!"

Fairy Wizard: "The average of my race is typically about 10. So unless I get killed or catch some sort of disease, absolutely."

Eternal Mage: "Frieren. Elf. Collector of spells. There's some demon out there calling himself the Demon King. That's my world's issue. We have magic."

Fairy Wizard: "Interesting! What would you say your tech level is? Do you have homes with electrical lighting? Trains powered by steam? Do you know what a gun is?"

Frieren: "Only the most wealthy can afford magical lighting, most relying on lanterns and candles. I do not know what a 'Train' or 'Gun' is."

Rosebud: "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A GUN IS?!"

Fairy Wizard: "Huh. Alright. Somewhere within 'magical medieval'. Are you one of those elves who live for like 300-1000 years or the elves that won't die unless you are killed? I'll see if I can get you a gun or a book on trains. As for telling you what those things actually are? A train is, well... Imagine a cart that runs on two metal lines with numerous other carts trailing behind it, the general concept is 'have water in boiler, heat water with coal, steam pushes piston, cold water is spritzed into the chamber to cause it to contract, and it happens over and over again. This piston is connected to wheels which pull the entire thing forwards at surprising speeds'. then A gun is kind of like a crossbow without arms. Earlier version put metal spheres inside metal tubes that have one end closed off, explosive powder is put inside, then a metal ball is, the powder is ignited and the force of the explosion shoots the metal ball faster than the speed of sound. I DO remember the recipe for the most basic explosive powder though, Saltpeter, Sulfur, and Charcoal."

Frieren: "I'll live until I am killed. As for those two things? No. We do not have anything like that. Neat."

Rosebud: "We just use dust for our guns. Also, shooting balls out of guns is sacrilegious! I know that it was a key step in protecting human and faunus kind, but we've moved beyond that! For good reason, too! They're not aerodynamic at all! Hey! Frieren! If you want to know more about guns I could like... get you a book or something on them."

Frieren: "I wouldn't know what to do with it. I'll just stick with magic."

Focalors: "HEY! Don't ignore me!"

Fairy Wizard: "Sorry, Sorry, what's being a god like? I'm kind of cautious around you because most of the time- and please don't take this the wrong way, I'm only saying this because there's entire dimensions between you and me- gods are assholes."

Focalors: "How Rude!"

Pendragon: "No, he's actually kind of got a point. Most deities are sort of mean. There's the Greek god of thunder, the Norse god of tricks, the Greek god of... well... practically EVERYTHING. Greek gods really are quite malicious."

Pendragon: "Anyways, Hey! I'm Le Fay Pendragon! A descendant of the King Arthur of legend and the sorceress Le Fay. My world has a bunch of mythologies, races, magic systems, that sort of thing. Humans sometimes have a chance to be born with 'Sacred Gears' as well."

Fairy Wizard: "Wait you're from THAT world?! Did the Gremory Heiress go missing a few years ago?"

Le Fay: "Uh? I don't think so? I'll check? But you know my world? Is the Gremory Heiress someone you've been talking to?"

Fairy Wizard: "She's currently in the other room, so yeah. Turns out you can trade devil contract fliers. That's like... the only way I know how to dimension hop currently. I might be able to figure something out based on that."

my eyes stray from the screen.

Oh! the book is done.

I wordlessly pick up the book and its copy, placing the original within my requip space, then stand up and place the completed copy on a shelf.

The archive window follows after me.

Le Fay: "So, you're a devil, then?"

Fairy Wizard: "Bishop. Took both pieces, one of which was a mutation piece. I figured it would be a good way to increase my lifespan, give myself some additional magical potency, and access to demonic power to see how it's different from my ethernano-based magic container. Plus, it's not like I can't figure out some way to undo it or turn into something else in the future."

Le Fay: "Becoming a reincarnated devil is kind of permanent."

Fairy Wizard: "So is being human. That didn't stop me from turning into a devil, now did it?"

Le Fay: "Huh. Fair."

Fairy Wizard: "If I really wanted to change, I could realistically learn this world's Dragon Slayer magic, if you use it too much and you don't have an antibody you actually become a dragon, although I've heard it really messes with your senses and drives some people crazy."

Le Fay: "Dragon slayer magic?"

Fairy Wizard: "There's god slayer to, but I'm unsure if that turns you into a god like how devil slayer turns you into a devil and dragon slayer turns you into a dragon. Surely it can't be THAT easy to turn into a god. Oh, and to explain my world's magic? Pick a word. There's a magic type for that. I've actually got quite a collection of books of assorted magics. To list some of the more random ones there's 'Sock Puppet magic', or 'braid magic'. I also have 'bread maker magic' and 'Carbonation' magic. You've just got lame math based magics."

Le Fay: "They might be lame but with calculations we can do all sorts of things! We don't need to learn entirely new magic when we want to shoot a fireball! We just do the calculations and do it!"

Fairy Wizard: "But can your magic perfectly carbonate a beverage? And possibly cool your drinks?! I'm unsure I haven't read it yet."

Frieren: "I am interested in spells like that. I'm willing to trade."

Le Fay: "So this thing changes our names when we say them, so what's your name, Fairy Wizard? You know most of ours at this point."

Fairy Wizard: "Oh, that's fair. My name is Andrew Graves. I'm unsure exactly how old I am, and I am one of the S-Class wizards of the Fairy Tail guild. I am also a reincarnate which is how I knew other worlds existed out there. It was this experience that allowed me to learn this strange dimensional magic."

I feel like this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

[Split]

I sit aside the criminally thin book with a small sigh.

Well.

I'll admit. I don't know how to make celestial spirit keys.

I'll kind of have to wing it.

I've got SOME ideas, don't get me wrong. Fornax will be able to help me as I'll need the celestial variants of the metals.

But the pages I got were basically page one. Page twelve. Page fifty three and fifty four, then one hundred and so on.

A lot of this doesn't seem to exactly... go together at least not from paper to paper.

But the parts that are there? I can only decribe them as complicated.

Maybe I need more eyes on it.

"Fuck it. She's been a mage longer than everyone I know has been alive." I whisper.

The chat group has sort of devolved into Ruby talking animatedly with Le Fay. Those two seem to mesh well and have been bouncing question after question off each other.

Lurking in the chat I've discovered that one: it's Ruby Rose. Not Summer Rose.

Next, Le Fay isn't actually from Rias' universe.

Or rather... MY Rias' universe. She is from some sort of strange mirrored universe.

From what I can tell it seems to be 'Canon' Dxd...

You know, where Rias' family aren't a bunch of assholes.

Rias seemed quite surprised at the news and has mentioned that she'd like to visit that world one day.

Anyways...

Andrew: "Hey, Frieren, are you awake? I'd like you to take a look at something. You've been a mage several times longer than I've been alive so I'd like your opinion on this. Maybe you can make heads or tails of it."

Frieren: "?"

Andrew has sent a trade request:

Andrew: Copies of the fragments of an ancient book on how to create Celestial Spirits.
Frieren: Nothing
{Confirm} {Deny}

I can see after a long moment she seems to accept.

Frieren: "I cannot read this."

Son of a-

I reach out, grabbing a piece of paper and quickly jotting down some text on it.

Andrew: "Really? Ugh. This is always an issue. One moment. Your name is German. Can you read this?"

Andrew has sent a trade request:

Andrew: A piece of paper
Frieren: Nothing
{Confirm} {Deny}

Nothing happens for a moment.

Frieren: "Yes, I can read this."

Andrew: "Alright. Give me a few minutes to translate. At least it's only 12 pages so it won't take all day like it did for that steelmaking book a while back."

[Split]

I sit up with a tired groan, Rias beside me letting out a small annoyed moan.

Koneko on my other side reaches up, grabs my shoulder, and forces me to lay back down.

This bed is... really comfy.

With a dull gleam Archive appears in front of me, my eyes stray towards the chat group as I re-enter it.

Frieren: "This is intriguing, but there is very little I can glean from it. The diagrams on pages 3 and 4 appear to be something you need to carve into the earth. so a ritual of some sort. I will continue to study but it is of a system of magic I am unfamiliar with. Any information beyond this will take some time. It shouldn't take that long though. Perhaps a decade or two to comprehend the pages offered."

I watch the letters on the ethereal keyboard get pressed in as I formulate a reply.

Andrew: "Ritual huh? That's convenient. I've actually got a book on ritual magic. I'll read through that and see if I can proceed. Do you have any magics to reverse the damage of objects? Here there's Arc of Time but that's a lost magic and those typically tend to have massive drawbacks. Plus, I genuinely don't know HOW I'd even learn it. Thanks for the second opinion, but you don't really need to do all that work, you probably have more important things to do."

With a mental flick I close the window and relax in Rias and Koneko's grasp. It's like... four thirty...

I can afford to sleep for another hour... or three.

[Split]

Alright. I can certainly see how that elf connected it to rituals... I can see some overlap here and there. It seems that the magic I've gotten is some form of ritual magic.

"Andrew." A voice speaks up from behind me, the door creaks as she enters the room. Rias.

"Yeeeees?" I ask slowly looking over the tattered book.

"How good would you say you are at Light Ecriture?" The redhead asks slowly.

"Pretty good." I shrug. "I've got the stylus as well so I can do it pretty cheaply as well... but I don't really want to use it much if I can help it. It'll become a crutch."

Wait... these symbols... the dots in the magic circle... could they be a constellation?

In that case... wouldn't there be a separate ritual for every single constellation?

"Oh. Good. Good." Rias nods slowly. "That's really good..."

"..."

"..."

"Andrew." The girl deadpans. "it's time you make good on your promise."

"Hah?" I turn. "What promise?"

Her eyes are half-lidded, she gives me a blank stare. "We're having sex. Now."

"..."

"Give me ten... maybe fifteen minutes... plus whatever time I'll need to draw up some light ecriture."

She crosses her arms and pouts but rotates her hand as if to say 'get on with it'.

I get up from the desk, turn, nod once, and hop out the window.

A book appears in my hand as do the gale force reading glasses.

I slip them on, briefly reading over the cover.

Silcia's guide to magic in the bedroom.

[Split]

My gaze strays around the forest clearing, multiple glowing lines of runes seem to surround it, a metal house has appeared.

Rias and I are currently no where near our home.

If some potentially ultimate class devil is going to show up in this world... it's NOT going to be in my fucking house!

Rias was kind of disappointed but agreed with my reasoning.

If the house gets blown up, we're just fucked.

"S-So... uh... A-After you?" I gesture into the metal box.

The red-haired girl smirks. "You're so cute."

"Thanks?" I whisper. "I've never actually... done anything like this..."

"Really?" Rias hums, her smirk growing. "Good. I get to be first AND get to rub it in that smug cat's face!"

"Thats... not very nice." I weakly chastise.

"She's been taunting me with her S-Class status ALL year." Rias harrumphs, crossing her arms under her sizable bust.

She drags me inside the dark box of metal, there's no furniture currently.

With a wave of my hands, metal tables and chairs quickly appear, a metal box with springs on top of it appears shortly after, a large cloth matress falling over it a moment later.

I snap my fingers and a small mote of light flies upwards and strikes the ceiling. Illuminating the room.

"Tadaaaa." I weakly hum. "Not bad for a rush job, huh?"

"I'm not all that concerned with the furniture... as long as the bed's not merely a slab of Iron. Plus, I don't think either of us will have time to admire the feng shui."

"Y-Yeah?" I mutter, glancing away as Rias takes her shirt off.

"Why are you being so shy?" Rias grins. "You've seen more than this just casually at the house."

"Well it's different, okay?!" I grumble. "There's a large difference between... ah... you being a nudist and... actually... doing this."

"Hmmmm? Doing what... exactly?" The redhead's smile grows, she tilts her head cutely.

"..."

"There's a differience between... ah... you being a nudist and being i-inside of you."

"Heh... heheheheh." The girl begins chuckling, I can see a slightly dangerous glint in her eye... dangerous for my pelvis, at least.

The metal door slowly creaks shut as the girl pulls it closed, muted 'clangs' echoing out as she slides several large deadbolts into place.

She lips her pants off, placing and hand on my chest and walking me over to the bed which she shoves me on with a small smirk.

"W-Wait! Before we... ah... start... I should probably take a small look for any... ah... magic?"

Rias blinks twice. "Yeah. Alright."

She takes a seat next to me as I gaze at her bare stomach. She sits in just her panties, my fingers brush up against her smooth skin as I sense outwards. Deeper.

Rias' shoulder's shake slightly. "H-Hey! That's ticklish!'

My eyes narrow slightly as I can feel a slight magical aura.

'Hmmm?'

"Well. There is magic. I can feel it." I mutter under my breath.

It's not demonic power, that resides a bit higher, under the heart. This is more womb-adjacent.

It shares some similarities with...

That book I just read... some form of sex magic spell, huh?

That's fucking funny.

"Yeah, you've got some sort of seal on you." I nod once. "Let me just see if this works."

With a flash, my light ecriture stylus appears. "This may sting or tingle a bit. I've used a few ecriture enchantments on myself, mainly 'strong', and my body doesn't really like the light that much."

The tip of the metal presses against her stomach. "It's cold!"

"Sorry-" I quickly apologize as I write in a small circle.

"Block Signal, Dispel, Remove Curse, Erase Markings."

As I complete the circle of runes Rias sharply inhales, the white symbols flashing brightly for a moment as we both pause and look around. Holding our breath as we wait for any form of teleportation circle or alert from the ecriture I had lain before.

All is quiet.

"..."

I touch her stomach again, a low hum leaving my lips. "Well. That did it."

"S-So... it's done?" The girl whispers, voice coming out in barely more than a squeak. "We... we can move on? They... they can't drag me back?"

I lean forwards, taking her lips with my own, my hands falling around her waist.

After a moment our kiss ends, I let out a low whisper. "I would have never let them take you."

Her hands come to my shoulders as she blinks a few tears from her eyes, her lips turning upwards into a bright beaming smile. "Yeah!"

We bask in each others presence for a moment.

"So." Rias eventually breaks the silence. "Are you going to take those clothes off... or do I have to rip them off?"

"I like this hoodie." I frown as with a dull flash I requip it away.

Her fingers slowly slide down my chest, a quiet hum leaving her lips. "You should go shirtless more often. There's a lot to appreciate here. You should stop hiding your toned abs in hoodies."

"Hoodies are comfortable, okay?" I grumble as she places a hand on my chest and forces me to lay down.

As she straddles my waist, an impish smile crosses her lips. "Tie yourself to the headboard."

"..."

"Really?" I deadpan.

"Mhmm." She nods. "Come on Andy... pleaaaaase?"

I shimmy up the mattress, the iron wall above me warbles slightly and a simple hand bar appears, like what you'd see on some indoor staircase.

Silk coils around my wrists and secures it to the metal as I give the redhead a flat deadpan stare.

"Oh no~ I've been captured by this vile succubus woman." I roll my eyes. "Woe is me. What an unfortunate fate!"

"Oh, I'm going to suck you dry alright~" Rias grins, finger trailing down my sternum and slowly growing lower and lower.

Her hands grasp around the  waistband of my sweatpants and underwear, then with a single coy smirk she pulls downwards, easing the pressure that had begun to bulge out ever since we entered this little room.

She blinks twice at the length inches from her nose. "Wow..."

"I mean..." She begins. "I've seen it from afar, but... having it be so big... and throbby... do you think it'll fit?"

What the hell does she mean by 'seen it from afar?!'

You know what? No. I don't want to know.

"So. This is it?" I whisper.

"Mhm." The girl hums, taking my cock in one hand, her hand soft as she gives it a single stroke. "Before I'm finished you're going to be moaning my name~"

Our eyes suddenly snap to the door

CLANG

It is promptly knocked off its hinges.

"Damn it!" Rias curses.

"Mn..." A new voice interjects. "I knew... something was wrong..."

Koneko stands there, tail lashing back and forth, hand on her hip, ears flattened slightly.

"I can't let you finish, Rias." She glares. "Andrew's virginity belongs to me. I already marked my territory."

"Wh- BUT I KNEW HIM FOR LONGER!" Rias growls back at the cat girl.

A long sigh leaves my lips as I sit up, the cloth around my hands disappearing.

I boredly prop my head up as they bicker. Eyes flicking between the two girls as they argue back and forth.

I scratch my temple, eyes shutting for a brief moment. 'Alright. How do we solve this?'

My eyes snap open. "Alright. Stop fighting. I've got a solution."

Two fierce gazes sweep back over to me.

"Strip poker. We're going to play strip poker. Winner goes first." I smile.

They both blink slowly, looking between each other. Koneko tilts her head, Rias cupping her chin as she seems to think on my solution.

"Mn. Whatever." Koneko grunts.

"I can work with this." Rias decides.

"Oh. I'm also inviting Natsuki." I add in.

""WHAT?!""

Comments

As always this is just really awesome and I can't wait for more

Ranma_Leopard

The shop is kinda crappy still. As far as I'm aware, literally the only things he can order from it is fast food and stuff you'd find in a gas station. The thing that Rob mentioned early on about the TV was because he could eventually reach the point where he could buy stuff like that, not that he already could.

Seiden Kyoukai

He doesn't seem to use the "shop" much anymore, does he? At least his first boon is passive deeper magic comprehension which should help with understanding those pages after more study, but with the kind of income he can generate now, I'm surprised he hasn't used his enchanting to make a magic to electricity scheme and loaded the house with modern amenities. Rias would appreciate the TV and some anime. If he got an internet router perk then all the anime and games to get hearts content on a new computer
