Normally I'd come here and just thank you all for your continued support to MrCanvas and all she dies to kero you guys well entertained with her art, however, there is a major development regarding patreon and how payment is handled.
Now before anything. This ONLY affects NEW patreon supporters (Both new AND returning), who are supporting via APPLE devices. TL:DR below.
AS OF NOVEMBER 2024.
All NEW patreon supporters who start supporting thier favorite creators on patreon from an apple device (ipad, iPhone, etc), will be assessed a 30% fee FROM Apple. For EACH person you pledge to. This is money that goes DIRECTLY to apple. If you are on an apple device and have subbed PRIOR to November, you are NOT affected by this...so long as you KEEP your subscription active. The moment you lapse it, you WILL be subject to the 30% apple fee.
So for example. If you are a new subscriber, and plan to subscribe to MrCanvas for $10. You will play $10 + your states tax + apples 30% fee of That total. It may not seem like much. But you have creators here who charge 50, 80, 200$. That's when it comes an issue.
What's is suggested is if you are new OR want to return after not being able to pledge for a while, pledge from a PC or Laptop, or an Android device. You don't have to pay apple money to support your creators.
TL:DR
Apple is charging you a 30% fee per creator you sub to if you are new. Don't give apple extra money. Sub to your creators on a PC or on Android.
