You never thought it would happen to you. Not here, Not now… not a week before your wedding. In retrospect the fact that the public received any warning of the bombs was a blessing, but when everyone got the message, “Nuclear impact expected in your area in 2 hours”, all your fiancé could think about was getting home to you and then running. All you could think about was how to turn whatever time you have left into a lifetime with him.
