Howdy hey, everyone! 

Seeing as we finally hit our $2250 funding goal here on Patreon, that means we have a commitment to uphold! You see, we had pledged that if that funding goal was met, we would give our Patreon Supporters the option to choose an early tales route to be released in advance of 1.0!

For those unfamiliar, 'tales route' refers to a secondary mode called 'Tales from Woodcrest' which was originally slated for post 1.0. The idea is that it contains stories that can't be told within the confines of the main game. Usually this is because they either occur outside the main story's timeframe, because they're not stories that can be told from Adrian's perspective, or both!

There are more than a dozen Tales currently planned, unfortunately they're generally set up by main routes and assume completion of certain content. As such, the content below mostly stems from Diego's Route and Tai's Route, with one exception we feel is adequately established. We also know you want the next main route as well, so we've excluded a couple of rather lengthy tales as not to take too much time away from the juicy meat of this visual novel sandwich!

Major spoilers for both Diego's and Tai's routes below. If you haven't completed Diego's route and at least Day 15 of Tai's route, proceed at your own risk!

LENGTH AND QUALITY OF THE CONTENT
These tales will be our primary focus during their time in development and will receive all of the love and care our usual releases receive. We expect each update containing content for these routes to be similar in length to what we're releasing at present. While it's difficult to estimate the overall length of the tale, we anticipate they will all exceed 100k words in length with one or two possibly approaching 200k.

Option 1: At Lands' End
Diego’s Route Continuation.
Diego / Adrian’s Perspectives. Requires Diego’s Route Completion.

Following Diego’s victory in the Woodcrest Combat Tournament, he and his beloved partner Adrian set off on vacation to Diego’s hometown of Seaton. Adrian is introduced to Diego’s family at long last and the duo soak up the tropical sun, enjoying the warmer tropical climate as winter approaches. But then, Diego is reminded of the dark rumors surrounding the local lighthouse. Now a (not-so) fearless adult with his (not-so) fearless boyfriend by his side, he resolves to uncover the truth once and for all!

Option 2: What Happens in the Locker Room...
Historic – Set Approx. 1 Year Before Present Day.
Diego / Kyrex’s Perspectives. Requires Diego’s Route Completion.

Newly minted Champion of the Woodcrest Combat Tournament Kyrex is between jobs, earning himself a small living working as an amateur personal trainer at the local gym. Meanwhile Diego is worried about the extra jelly so many after-work dinners at Tai’s Bar has formed on his usually more muscular gut. Following Tai’s recommendation, he takes on some more physical work under Tai’s best friend Lukas, and also signs himself up at the local gym, getting an unbelievably sharp price on a personal trainer!

Option 3: Forever is a Long Time...
Historic – Set Approx. 1500 Years Before Present Day.
Apollo / Artemis’ Perspectives. Requires Tai’s Route Day 15 Completion.

As Apollo stands amongst the devastation wrought by Hades, he braces himself for his ultimate demise… yet Hades knows that death would be a mercy and instead leaves Apollo alive to suffer the grief of losing everything and everyone he held dear. In the years to follow, he lived a nomadic life wandering from place to place and keeping a low profile… until one fateful day, he spots an eerily familiar lime-green parakeet among the patrons of a bustling tavern…

Option 4: King of the Swimming Pool
Historic – Set Approx. 12 Years Before Present Day.
Axel / Russell’s Perspectives. Requires Tai Day 16 Completion.

Russell is king amongst his peers in the swimming club at school, his natural agility in water unmatched! He proudly claims to be the best swimmer in school and would successfully uphold this title for some time… that is until a small, meek and gawky child that Russell had given something of a hard time in past joined the club, quickly claiming Russell’s crown for his own! A rivalry is born as Russell vies to win back his crown…

Option 5: The More Things Change…
Historic – Set Approx. 16 Years Before Present Day.
Tai and Lukas’ Perspectives. Requires Tai’s Route Completion.

With under ten-thousand residents, finding musicians to form a band is easier said than done! And so it seemed as though it were fate when a young wolf named Glenn, a bassist and frontman alike crossed paths with a attitude-laden guitarist named Tai and his drum-playing best friend Lukas. Glenn was fresh from the dissolution of his prior band, a popular local punk-rock outfit who Glenn felt were letting him down, night after night. Tai and Glenn quickly hit it off, their rebellious attitudes and musical tastes in perfect sync as Lukas worked tirelessly to keep the two out of trouble. Thus, ‘The Black Claws’ were formed and thrived from their unity… but as the years wore on, Tai and Glenn would grow apart putting the groups unity to the ultimate test.

PS: Eric's Route requires a lot of setup from Lukas' route which is why it's not an option right now. Apologies, but once we get far enough in Lukas' route, it'll become an option for the next poll!
