Originally, we hadn't intended Roo to make an appearance in Tai's route, after all, Tobias was supposed to be the last new character introduction, but like Hidetaka Miyazaki and his compulsion to make horrible poison swamps, my compulsion is to keep adding new character after new character! I'm supposed to be restraining myself with those... it isn't going so well.

The sketch above was what CurryCatz produced completely unguided. He simply knew I couldn't stop myself from giving Roo a small part in Day 19 and this is what he came back with. Only thing I asked for adjustments on was the eyebrows, everything else I just straight up approved. After the many months spent trying to get Tobias right, Roo coming together with almost zero fuss is very welcome indeed! Look forward to this handsome feller making his appearance! Right now it is slated for Chapter 4 of Day 19 which I currently have planned for next months development, but you never know... shuffle a few things round...

Oh! I also wanted to quickly talk about the browser based client that we'd hoped to release in beta to you guys this month. With huge thanks to your friend and ours, the mighty Slouch (and his evil alter ego 'DefinitelyNotSlouch'), we now have the means to better protect our server from unauthorized access by requiring a Patreon login to access the Patreon-only browser-based build. This will protect us by ensuring we're not racking up crazy data costs should the months link be shared somewhere it shouldn't have been, and helps to ensure that no data cap is reached and the web version of Sileo remains playable all month long! 

I feel this is something we absolutely must do to avoid things going pear shaped, and the only reason it wasn't initially part of the plan was simply because I have zero web development expertise and wouldn't know where to start and the time investment necessary to learn those skills and implement something like that would be much too steep considering how busy I already am. Thankfully Slouch being the totes baller dude he is has come to our rescue! 

By the sounds of things, this is something that will probably take the whole month to implement (or longer) with Slouch's schedule being what it is, and that simply doesn't allow enough time for a beta to run its course before reaching the public. As such, we'll reassess the situation at the end of the month and if all is ready, we'll launch it with 0.42, otherwise, perhaps a mid-month update like originally planned, but for next month instead.

Finally, right now we're targetting the July update as the final release in Tai's route. Naturally plans can change, progress can be sporadic, etc etc, but that target assumes a minimum of 3 chapters are pushed each month. We produced that exact amount last month between the mid-month update and 0.41, so if we can keep our momentum up, we'll be finally done with Tai's route very soon! And then the following month, we can finally meet Diego's family! Just watch out for Samson, I hear he has even more of an aversion to clothing than Diego does!

Oh, wait, did I ever show those sketches? I don't think I did... so here! A rough, approved early design for Diego's youngest brother Isaac - voted most likely to not end up living in a filthy alleyway by... well, anyone that knows his older brothers, really.
