Small Delay for this month's Patreon Update
Added 2022-05-01 18:58:28 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
Tried super hard to finish up on time, but the content that makes up the second half of this forthcoming update showcases a number of unique writing challenges that have resulted in slower progress than what I'd anticipated. For instance, until now, I've always just kind of winged it when it came to characters specific dialogue quirks, however this months new boy Roo has more than just quirks -sometimes it's a whole other language! This is to say that I've gone the extra mile to give Roo authentic down-under dialogue, but as a kiwi, it was hard to know exactly which pieces of odd oceanic vernacular were shared and what was specific to one country or the other.
tl;dr: I have a 9 page document which acts as a sort of dialogue guide for Roo. I hadn't expected it would be something so sizable, and I hadn't anticipated that even with it, Roo's dialogue takes longer to write regardless. Still, I stand by the decision - I'd rather get this right than to wing it!
I stretched myself to the limit here trying to get everything finished on time, but my energy levels are so shot that my progress has slowed to glacial pace regardless. Regrettably I had to concede and admit defeat, announcing a small delay for the patreon build. First order of business will be to keep some much needed sleep, but once I'm rejuvenated, I'm hopeful it won't take long at all to finish things up, so keep your eyes peeled - I'm expecting to release later in the week! Sorry!
The public release as usual is unaffected and will be releasing shortly with some shared features like new backgrounds, an overhauled calendar system to better support flashbacks and more besides. Swing on over to Itch shortly if you're curious.

The last two days of Tai's route have a literal chaos monkey. I will not be disappointed by delays, I will be too busy laughing at stories of what Tobias has done that month. May: WHO LET THE MONKE EDIT THE AUSTRALIAN LANGUAGE GUIDE?! June: I AM STILL CLEANING YOGURT OUT OF THE CEILING TILES; TOBIAS HAS LOST OFFICE FRIDGE PRIVILEGES. July: WHY WAS THERE BACON IN THE SOAP!?
