Progress Report

Hey y'all, just quickly checking in to let you know where I'm at and how things are looking release wise. I'll keep this relatively brief as not to cut into writing time! 

I actually tried a bunch to write this and kept ending up with walls of text as I am known to do. Whoops. So fuck that shit, here's a properly concise version.

19x2 has been tough to write because it balances so many different plot threads both internal and external to the main story taking place. It was also difficult to find my groove writing Roo, whose dialogue is by far the most unique among the cast. 

The delay was largely because I only had false starts for 19x2 and notes stemming from them, and I refused to release a single chapter in a monthly update - that's just not good enough and I refuse to let you guys down by doing that, as well as myself for that matter.

The good news is I finally have some progress. Most notably, the section containing Roo is more or less finished now which was by far one of the harder pieces to get done. I'm happy with the results and hopefully the team approves when they receive the finished sequence for review. 

The rest of 19x2 is still in a rougher draft-like state. Roo's scene came together after only a second pass, so with any luck much of the chapter will follow suit, but I know that there will be a lot of work to get it all up to code and that I'm going to need to add a whole lot to right the balance between internal and external plot threads which is currently skewed way out towards external which... ain't great. That's my job for the rest of the night. I'm really hoping to produce something satisfactory today that I can send off to the team, though that is a tall order. That being said, I've already written for a good 6 or so hours today... what's a bunch more?

I expect 0.42 will release with two chapters, 19x1 and 19x2. Word count is TBA, but the current material is over 10k words and will get considerably longer before it's done. And next month, for gods sake, I want to release more than 2 chapters. Ideally, the rest of the day - fuck, that'd be nice! 

Anyway, I'll check in again when I cross the finish line on this damn thing. I'm working like crazy and hoping to get this thing in your hands ASAP, so wish me luck!
