happy (?) Wednesday guuuys!
I feel weird saying "happy" cause our health and everybody's health is all we can think of. BUT I hope this sketchbook tour may bring joy your way (even if it's a tiny bit).
So for today's menu we have two sketchbooks. The main dish is my regular Moleskine Art Edition, where I paint with gouache and pencils. I took this baby to Los Angeles and I painted A LOT, specially the day I spent the afternoon at a cafe. It's been hard to find subjects to draw online (instagram, twitter) so I've been trying more and more to draw from my I M A G I N A T I O N. And let me tell ya: it's HARD. I've been drawing from references for so long, now it's almost like I can't draw or I can't find a subject to draw without a reference : / do you guys struggle with this? (also: I added unfinished sketches I haven't yet painted!)
For dessert we have my ugly sketchbook (A4 blank soft cover Moleskine), which is the sketchbook I use to draw rough sketches, ideas for comics, take notes or the place where "I don't mind" if something comes out wrong. There are sketches I did during our Chilean Assemblies, the sketches I did during my trip to LA, and the behind the scenes of some comics I've uploaded to instagram. (do you guys wanna see more of these?)
I also added the references I used for each illustration (if it was one)! Please let me know if you have any questions on tools or stuff I used!
See you ALL this Friday for our podcast newsletteeeeeer!
