Silhouette is Here!

I'd been saving for this for quite a while, but thanks to a final push from my friend Ian, I finally got the Silhouette cutter I've been jonesing for forever. :)

It's here, it's huge, and it's hopefully going to save me a buttload of time when I finally get that sticker club tier going.

Speaking of, I'm still testing out materials, but my hope is to finally get that tier rolled out sometime mid-year, if not sooner. I've got another move coming up somewhere in the next handful of months, so it's going to get kind of messy around here. In the meantime,  I'm doing some proofs and trying out different materials to see just what I can do.

There'll probably be some polls coming up as well, to see what it is that you guys might like in a tier like that, and what a good price will be. I want to do something that's kind of unique to Patreon, and not available through regular channels, at least when it comes to club stickers.

Holographic style stickers like this are a possibility, but I have to find a film that's going to be decently waterproof, unlike the sample I have here. I tested one that was printed all the way to the edge, and while it held up to just being splashed, it didn't stand up to submersion, and I want to make certain that I'm selling things that are going to be able to stand up to at least a measure of abuse.

On that note, I'm sorry that things have been a bit slow around here lately. I've been pushing to get through my commission queue, and I actually feel as though I'm making some headway for once. There'll be a few process shots for people at the end of the month, and I'm toying with the idea of posting at least one series of them to the public here on Patreon to make up for the silence, and to give everyone a little peek at the $5 tier.

Thanks again for your support, everybody! You help keep me going even when things aren't the most ideal, and that means the absolute world to me. 💜

I get matte white sheets from Cricut that stand up really well to water. The ish is, in order to make the holographic stickers I want to make, I need a clear sheet that's going to be able to stand up at least a little bit to water. I'm in the middle of testing another from a different brand, but the prognosis here isn't looking too good either. I did order samples from onlinelabels.com so we'll just have to see how they do.

ooooh. I've used White Gloss sticker paper OL177WG from onlinelabels.com which I like, so far most things I've made have held up reasonably and it's water resistant. they have a weatherproof gloss sheet also, but I didn't like it, fingerprints stuck to it like crazy :z
