Chara Inktober 18 - "How They Met Their Love Interest"

So when she found herself in Neo Shousis*, of course one of the first things she did was end up, cold, and holed up behind a dumpster in one of its darkest, seediest alleyways, homeless and far from any sort of support.
This wasn't her first meeting with Talon, oddly enough. She and a tentative gang she'd been hanging around with had taken it upon themselves to try and hunt Talon down to claim the bounty he'd managed to accrue on his head. They failed, of course. Numerous times. And when he found her in that alley, she'd more than expected he'd simply shoot her and be done with it.
He showed her kindness instead, taking her into his home long enough for her to recover, and eventually taking her under his wing as a protege of sorts. Theirs was never an easy relationship since both of them were decidedly solitary by nature. But they developed a basic kind of understanding both, remaining independent but enjoying each other's quiet company whenever they happened to be in the same place.
*Neo Shousis is a sort of cyberpunk city conceived by my same friend who came up with Talon. I'm just borrowing it here.
