FULL PAINTING PROGRESS TUTORIAL - The Cove - Sea Maggot - Darkest Dungeon

Hey everyone,

New video tutorial is finally here. We got more then few feedbacks from you guys that you would like following a full time progress of how we paint the mini, without regarding to one topic but laying the brushstrokes and building creation. The deadline for this project was short, but we had great time paining these minis. We love the style and aesthetic of this game, so we tried to bring it closer and match with our style. Showing that flavor of Darkest Dungeon together with our Art expression.
Hope you all will appreciate seeing this approach and way of tutorial. Let us know if it is helpful and will you try to practice inspired by this approach. We are looking forward to see your works. Enjoy,
All the best,
Aleksandra & Marko

ps. We have changed the platform for uploading videos, since issue on YT with playlist, to tryout something different. Hope this way of upload will work better and be more respected.

I love your style, and this deep look into your process is why I became a patron. 🔥

You can still do it. Just click right mouse button on the video and choose speed. :)

Craftworld Studio

Yeah the lack of playback speed option is very disappointing. I tend to watch all painting tutorial videos at 1.5-2x speed.

So, the main downsides are: - the inability to collect it into a (private!) playlist with all the other tutorials I have to refer back to (as they are all youtube as well) - can't set playback speed on mobile devices - no zoom / bookmarks.

Thank you for feedback Oliver. 10minutes ago our trial for this platform passed and they billed the first bill of the year subscription that we are bound to now 😅. This doesn't mean we will not post some of the videos on YouTube still. Please tell us, what you dislike with this platform? We both apologize for it all, we would like to have different possibilities to protect exclusiveness for our Patrons. The main and only reason we decided to switch the platform is because on YT we cannot reach/or do anything about/ people that share our videos as a public playlist.

Craftworld Studio

While the video is good, I honestly don't like the platform switch - I have my routine for tracking the painting videos (both yours and others) I have to watch (which I primarily do on my phone) and streamable just doesn't fit in very nicely (pretty much everyone else uses youtube).

Thank you very much. For this video we wanted attention on the brushwork. This is why we decided to leave only music in the background. As the painting progress goes from concept, trough leaving some brushstrokes and searching, thinking.. to getting the the final flow where everything goes faster. We believed it would be suiting having you all watch it and understand it all in your own way, Especially as it is tightly connected to all previous tutorials. Of course, in future we will have similar videos with voiceover. :)

Craftworld Studio

Thank you very much. We had very tough deadline for the cove, but next one coming is tutorial on one of the hero's . And hopefully in future we will make more, to keep the variations of the topics. :)

Craftworld Studio

The camera setup is great, very clear to see what is going on. I would personally prefer to hear about what you are doing and why rather than background music. You could even voice it over after the fact rather than recording audio while you paint.

This full time progress is great ! I'd love to see more like it, maybe of other Darkest Dungon Monsters ? :D
