Companion Heal Thyself v1.5 Released
Added 2022-01-06 02:57:59 +0000 UTCA new version (v1.5) of my Fallout 4 mod, Companion Heal Thyself, is now available on the GreslinGames Discord. You can find it in the CHT #releases channel, along with a link to the new Companion Heal Thyself user's manual.
If you're using PACE, you don't need to download CHT. PACE already includes everything in Companion Heal Thyself. CHT is available for players who want to give their companions auto-heal and auto-recover functionality without going the PACE route.
Prior versions of CHT are victim to an old Bethesda bug that basically makes magic effects useless on companions. Full details are in the Manual, but basically, if you change the companion's armor everything magic-related will stop working, including CHT's script.
v1.5 of Companion Heal Thyself retrofits its activation system with the same technique now used in PACE, which enables the script without the use of magic effects. It also includes a more robust method for controlling which companions use it and which do not (in case you want to mix and match with PACE or other companion-related mods).
