Cyclopeans are tragic figures, having once served as the master smiths of giant kind, using their god-given power over the elements to forge storm-wreathed weaponry for the High Kings of the Storm Giants, the Frost Giant Jarls or Stone Giant Thanes. But these days are over, the few Cyclopeans left are pale shades of former glory, lumbering thin-blooded brutes who barely know how to swing their club, let alone a blacksmith’s hammer. They are very suspicious, but once their mistrust has been overcome, they are trusting bordering on gullible - perhaps an indication that their downfall has been brought about by betrayal and that these wounds still linger.

It only takes a glance at the stat block to see what the Cyclops is about. If wronged, it will focus on the offending creature, barreling towards it and smashing it in close combat.

Theres a lot more to discover, but this small selection gives you insight into how a  a single ability can tell a story over the course of an encounter!
