A win for tape loop quality
Added 2024-11-23 02:38:03 +0000 UTCI was pulling my (beard?) hair out trying to figure out why the recorded loop audio had terrible frequency feedback. This is just a day in the life moment of what the issue was.
New stuff tomorrow!!

I think it's a routing issue that I can update in the software, but it is so counterintuitive that I find it surprising that it works this way at all!

2024-11-23 08:28:23 +0000 UTCAs a fellow engineer, it vexes me when the source of the problem remains unclear, even though the issue may have disappeared. So i totally understand that you're happy about finding the bug. Still, i find it surprising the 'inoutbox' does that. Perhaps there's an internal monitoring mixer that hasn't been fully configured? — Hard to see what kind of gear it is from here, but if the monitoring is analog, perhaps one of the pots is dirty? How old is that box?
