Hey Zack, do you generally prefer a set rep scheme for weightlifting movements (e.g. 8 sets of 2+1 clean and jerks) or do you see more value in waves like Ilya did, getting more literacy with the movement at lower percentages and maybe lower fatigue from heavy sets? Follow up question: say I'm doing a deficits block for 2-3 weeks (to focus primarily on drive off the floor and patience in the pull), do you see value in adding in classic lifts throughout this or should the primary focus just be on the novelty lift while you're doing it?

Hey Zack! What are your tips for progressing as a lifter who's between total beginner and beginner. I have good grasp of the movements but with some technical flaws. For example I have trouble with the transition from the first pull to the second pull in the snatch. Should I put more emphasis on specific parts of the lifts to fix my flaws before I focus on the whole movement? How heavy should I be lifting? Thanks!
