Sorry I've missed the deadline, I know you guys where looking forward to this, I may look into making animations in 30FPS instead of 60FPS.
(Would half render times, allowing for more wriggle room.)
But we will see, depends of how you guys feel about it.
(If you are curious, it takes 5 mins a frame for this animation to render on average.
It is sixty frames for a single second of animation.
I think that is 12 frames in an hour.
5 Hours for a single second of animation.
And this is not bad! That is fast for what I am rendering. But maybe I should be looking at ways to speed this up more, at least until I get another powerful computer.)

Hay thanks, sorry for the slow reply, but you are right, I don't think I can let go of my nice 60 frames a second frame rate. The smoothness is nice, and sometimes really needed for faster moving stuff. I would also love to render in higher resolution, with the new computer is done maybe. A lot of my stuff is not as high rez as it should be. But the animations are ok, and I'm really glad to hear that!

2020-01-06 04:37:35 +0000 UTCPersonally, I enjoy the smoothness the high framerate provides but also acknowledge just how time-intensive it is. A smaller amount of higher-framerate content is just going to bring in/retain a different audience (and a different _size_ audience) than a higher amount of standard framerate content, so you may want to try it anyway to see if it grows your Patreon base in a noticeable way. Regardless, the actual animation is what most of us are here for, so anything you put out it is enough in my eyes!
