Patreon has added a "subscription billing" option which charges people on the day you join, not the first of the month so that there is no more double charging. Since you're all already here, this has zero effect on you and you'll keep getting charged on the normal day. But if you leave and then come back for whatever reason, since I have enabled that change on my Patreon, now you won't get double charged for the first month, so that's kind of nice.
