Who is who: The Grim Angels

Greetings and welcome to who is who!  Lacking decent bait... I mean, material to post here (oh, dear, did I say that out loud?) I have decided to provide some information about characters and organisations in the world of Rhea. The info is not supposed to be exclusive, and will sooner or later be addressed in one-shots or inside the story. But until that happens, the Patreon "Who is Who" will be the only source. Now, without further ado, The Grim Angels!

"It is said that, when Rhea was still young and life hadn't spread as widely as now. The Grim Reaper alone harvested the souls of the deceased. But with time, the number of lives became too high, and not even Death could be everywhere at the same time. That's why they cut off their right hand and, from each bone, a grim angel or a deathbringer took shape. The grim angels took the forms of winged versions  of the creatures populating Rhea. The deathbringers bonded with each angel, becoming appropriate tools for them to harvest souls."

At least, that's what the myth says. What we know for a fact is that the Grim Angels, with some exceptions, are an armed force that claims to act in behalf of Death itself. They don't move for religious or political reasons like the Paladins of Ashes or the Twilight Riders, and seem to truly believe the myth of their origin, enforcing what they call the 'life rules'.

While their strength and loyalty to their cause is first rate, they are neither invincible nor beyond betrayal, and records of both defeat and desertion exists. Also, their character and general behavior seems coherent with the general rule of their respective base races.

They inhabit the Fountain of Dreams, a place beyond space that seems capable of connecting to anywhere in Rhea.
