"Sabrina Online: Skunks' Day Out" Page 11

OK, full disclosure - I straight-up forgot about Tabitha until after this month's pages were drawn, then realized that she had to get to the amusement park SOMEhow, and it made no sense for her to get there separate from her parents, so she ended up awkwardly shoehorned in last-minute to the last couple pages. Sorry about that.

The work on next month's strips is going slower than usual - lots of character groups and elaborate (for me) backgrounds.

I tried to contact him some time ago, but he never responded. I added to Humphrey Zumbrowski in a such a way because of my own compassion and curiosity. I've read the wiki page on Zig, but there was almost nothing on her father. So, I took the liberty of writing his life for him. Max probably has a backstory for Zig's father in mind. But, I just had to look past the surface and let my creative juices flow. I just felt there was more to Zig's father than what has been shown. I never wrote more on him to criticize you or Max, I just felt there was more beneath the surface. I just had to ask "Why was Zig's father the monster he was?", "Was his past as tragic as Zig's, if not more?", "What drove him to act that way?".

I may have asked something like this previously, but have you contacted Max BlackRabbit about this? Since Zig Zag and her backstory are his creations it would be a good idea. A main reason I never went too in-depth with ZZ's past with her parents is I felt that would be best left to him whenever he decided to do so.

Thank you for your input. I've been wanting to write this book for some time. I think Zig would also be pushed towards forgiveness as she would begin to understand why her father lashed out, he was abused by his mother and never had stability and lost the only person who saw and understood his pain just as his life was improving. Not to mention that he put himself through a cross country trek just to beg for her forgiveness and start anew.

Oh good Lord I can't believe I just figured out that "Monarch Mountain" is Kings Island. Nice. I'm looking forward to seeing how my home park is adapted here.

If you use zig as she currently is in the comics. Then she probably would. Especially with the people that are in her life. They would probably tell her it's better to forgive than to hold on to the feelings of hate. I mean, one of zigs best friends is a nerd. So a quote from yoda might actually be poignant. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Zig is a victim, Or at least implied to be, of abuse. So she might have some fear about seeing her father. But also much anger and hatred towards him. So forgiving him would probably bring at least some closure and peace.

That too. I'm recalling a very old storyline; I think it was the one where Sabrina drives to meet RC for the first time, and neither of them know that they each live closer to each other than the point they're both driving to to meet.

If anyone cares to answer, I'm in the process of writing a novel from the perspective of Zig's father (Humphrey Zumbrowski), in which he retells his tragic life and regrets of the pain he caused his daughter as he makes a cross country trek to find her and seek forgiveness. My question is would it be a more logical ending for Zig to think it over and finally forgive her father, or have Humphrey take his life from the guilt?

Sabrina mentioned she lives in Columbus back in Chapter 4

God I can't stand Endora's old slang and judgemental, needlessly criticizing behavior. She reminds me why I bring my earbuds everywhere I travel.

And cue Tabitha to start singing "99 Bottles Milk on the Wall".

I forgot about Tabitha as well. She would not miss an outing to an amusement park even if she was really truly sick

Wild Card

Judgmental much? ;)

Eric! How could you forget your "daughter" like that. She's going to be very, VERY cranky when she realizes what you've done. LOL.

I remember years ago reading a strip that confirmed this strip takes place in Ohio! (Probably also where Eric lives - write what you know). I like the continuity with mentioning Interstate 71. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_71 That said, Endora is right that using a screen so much can do damage to Danielle's eyes. Lots of studies on that, I think. (Young children/toddlers and tablets/phones.)
