😲😲😲 That's awesome! I had to re-edit the YouTube cut a few times, and by my third time seeing her say the "Be afraid" line I was wondering if it was from the original as well. Nice! That's perfect. I'm sure people loved they kept that line in there. Oh WOW. Yeah, I had NO clue Cronenberg was in that scene. I wish I would have because I could have focused on him more and the details less. LOL! That was intense! Well, the whole movie was. But I wouldn't change it. It's what made it what it is. Yesss. I'd love to check out more of his stuff. It was like nothing I've seen. Thanks for the recommendations!

Hey there. Just watched the watch-along of this with you last night. A science fiction/horror classic! So the line “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” Does originate from the original 1958 film “The Fly” So you were right and wrong about where the line comes from. Yes Geena Davis was quoting something. But she was quoting the original film. So the new film is more than justified to use it. Another fun trivia, the director of the film makes a cameo in the film. He was the gynecologist who delivers the maggot out of Geena Davis in the nightmare scene. LOL So I take it you don’t know anything about the director. David Cronenberg is a notorious, legendary, sometimes controversial iconoclast director. I highly recommend you go down that rabbit hole and explore his films. Recommending the Cronenberg films in particular “Videodrome” (1983) “Dead Ringers” (1988) “A History of Violence” (2005)

Oh, and if you ever decide to do it The Fly II can be added to your "worst sequels" poll.
