I think I know the Crow poster your referring to. I have that same poster framed and hanging on my wall, LOL. “12 Monkeys” is great, ingenious science fiction, but I also think you’re going to love the acting in it as well. “Dark City” as the follow up film from the director of “The Crow”, Alex Proyas. I heard he was deeply affected by the death of Brandon Lee and never really recovered. He has such such a unique, visionary style as a filmmaker. I think there were a lot of great films in him that we never got to see because of how affected he was by the tragedy that occurred on his set. We did get at least this one though. “Dark City” from 1998

Nice. Thank you, Kenton. I always appreciate your input! I'll let you guys decide when it's time for me to watch the next one. It was so good, it's hard not to, but I agree and think it will be more of the experience to wait. I leave it in your hands, and I really look forward to when it does happen (especially since you find it superior). Even if it were less than the first, I'd be excited. 😇 Loved it!! Don't worry; I won't be doing any searching for them. I'm happy when I first saw the titles it only showed the covers with them just standing there. That was enough! No spoilers is awesome.:) Thanks, again, Kenton.

Hey Sam! Sorry, I'm just now seeing the messages for this post 😲😲😲! That's so cool that you like this movie too. I'll take some time before watching the next, and then the last. I'll let you guys tell me when! Yesss, Gattaca is so great, and that completely slipped my mind they were even ever together when I was talking about it! That's awesome that's where they fell in love. I've never seen 12 Monkeys OR Dark City. I was just thinking about The Crow yesterday. In storage, I have a beautiful poster of Brandon Lee in costume on set, sitting in a chair. I've only seen it once all the way through, though, 16 years ago. Great suggestions!

All three great suggestions.

You’re reaction was great! It’d be awesome if this inspires more movie reaction channels to watch this indie classic. You’re definitely going to want to watch the sequels. But yeah, as stated above, and as I suggested earlier, you can take your time between viewing them. And by the way, I love Gattaca! That is such a great film and a true science fiction classic. That was also the film where Ethan Hawk and Uma Thurman met and fell in love. There were some great science fiction films being made around that time. Science fiction that drew its strength from story and characters, not just explosions and CG spectacles. If you’ve seen Gattaca, you may have seen the other sci-fI films from that time. In case you missed them, you definitely gotta check out “12 Monkeys” and “Dark City” And have you seen “The Crow”? If not, essential viewing!

I'm sure you likely figured this out, but I know you like to look up stuff about the making of movies but you're probably better off not to do so with this one as you will likely hit spoilers about the other films in the trilogy. As I mentioned between a couple other posts I think the second one is actually superior, and for me it much enhanced my enjoyment of this one. That said, even though I'm sure you'd still love it if you watched it right away, you might be better served by giving it some time before watching it. Certainly not the 9 years we waited at the time, but I believe the experience will be enhanced if you give yourself a lengthy cooling off period.
