Although they did a good job on all the aspects of production in this movie, as far as the script goes there really wasn't anything new in the way of mythology or threats. The clapping game was a creative way to get to a couple good bits, but the creative thing wasn't in itself something scary. I think any of the originality in this one was on that end, so there's not some new horror for you to think about and contemplate that stays with you.
