*I rented/watched the director's cut, I'm pretty certain (I didn't know until afterward, it's the first one that came up when I searched for it). The runtime is 1:33:59 . I believe the only difference is the intro/ voiceover, and the comic book strip cuts (such a great part). There's faint audio of the movie, in the bg throughout, and visuals at intervals, to help you keep in sync, though. :)

Oh my god, really? This movie... just legendary when I was growing up. People would quote it to each other all the time. And it's one that has grown on me over the years - it's not a great movie by several measures but the style and vision of it stands out more and more to me the more I watch it. Going to be watching along to this one ASAP

Again, don’t make assumptions you know what the story is or you know where the movie is going that you feel like you don’t need to actually pay attention to what’s happening on the screen.
