Blood-War Chronicles World Lore: Creation
Added 2022-03-26 04:51:21 +0000 UTCIn the beginning the world was devoid of all life, of all death. Time was at a standstill, eternally stagnate. Yet from deep within the husk, did the great primordial tree emerge. The essence of all life, Mother Ashe. Her crown ascended far beyond the heavens showering the sky in her sacred light. Her branches reached out to the furthest corners of the world birthing countless seeds to cultivate life. Her roots dug deep into the abysses below cultivating the land upon which flourished and eventually returned to her roots. All life began with Mother Ashe and thus all life returns to Mother Ashe, as it was foretold
The Eternal Ones
As ashe looked over the land flourishing with life her branches bore six divine fruit. And from these seeds emerged the almighty Eternal Ones, divine children of Ashe and emissaries of her absolute will. Thus began the age of Gods.
Rigal, the Blind Storm God of Order
Urios, the Deaf Sun God of Destruction
Ishrapha, the Dreaming Moon Goddess of Nature
Hani, the Formless Sea Goddess
Mikahel, the everlasting God of Time
Sarakai, the stagnating Goddess of Death
The Cataclysm
The golden age of gods would not last, for when Mother Ashe descended into her long slumber, the Eternal Ones--no longer under her watchful eye--did the gods soon turn against one another. Petty squabbling gave rise to feuding. Feuding then gave rise to all-out war. Thus began the cataclysmic war which tore the land asunder. The skies were consumed in violent storms, Mountains were obliterated, forests engulfed in flames, seas evaporated, and life extinguished in a miasma of death and decay.
Rigal--who could hear the painful screams of life being destroyed--feared his brethren's eternal conflict would soon destroy the entire world and Mother Ashe along with it. Thus, the Eldest God enacted a powerful seal which ripped his kin's beings including his own from the physical realm, thus it became absolute law that the Eternal Ones must never directly meddle in the physical realm lest they pay the ultimate penance for their transgressions.
However, the seal couldn't fully contain the Eternal Ones, for even as they were forever separated from the mortal realm, fragments of their beings still remained. Fragments which connected them to the physical plane and could indirectly influence the will of mortals.
