In Preparation for the Future

This might be a bit long, but don’t worry, there are images (though censored). Topics include changes to the UI, cycles, sprites, character schedules, characters, basic scenes, special scenes, navigation, stats, variability, and more.

Since we still need to introduce new characters and stories, we will have a time jump on this. But, as I mentioned, we’re going to park the project here for now and focus on polishing it (at least 3 updates ahead).

UI Overview
First, let me show you the general UI.

It consists of several components that can be expanded. On the left side, there’s a simple quick navigation system that shows who is present in a specific location.

On the right side, you’ll find a bar that combines:

 A time system with a weekly cycle (the day button isn’t clickable yet, but it might be necessary in the future to skip days), and a clock indicator that also advances the time of day.And a stats indicator at the top center, showing both "charges" and the level of the curse.

Setting and Cycles
The setting is divided into two main parts: private and work. In this update, we’ll only focus on the private section.

The different locations aren’t strictly rooms but rather represent situations and potential events. Each character will have their own schedule, but unless it’s a specific job, they can be summoned to a specific location. More on this later.

The variability of the setting adds a more immersive touch. It’s gradual and corresponds to the passage of time. All locations follow this dynamic .

The Dressing Room
Possibly the central mechanic and the one that will most significantly affect the entire system.

It can be accessed from the character's menu options.

In the right menu, the one with black icons, from top to bottom, there’s a button for complete outfits, a button for just the bottom piece, heels, or heels and stockings, a button to undress the character, a button to change poses, and a button to apply the changes.

The changes aren’t limited to just one screen; they apply to all sprites and scenes. The idea is to have 10 complete outfits in the extended version, plus 10 others where only heels are used. Half of these will be for the standard version, not counting the ones for specific situations or the secretary outfit and unlockables related to other characters. This can be expanded.

Idle

During their itinerary, characters have a preset route and will appear in the location, being clickable and leading us to the actions menu (which will be explained later).

What’s important is that these sprites change with the chosen outfit, and I think this is a substantial touch, as not only the outfits but also some specific decisions will grant access to new actions that can’t be explained in this post .

As you can see, there are quite a few, and this repeats across all locations, except when they’re taking a bath—no one bathes with clothes on.

In Selection
When selected, and following the same dynamic as before, a screen appears with various options.

There’s a menu to talk and perform certain actions, the icon that calls the dressing room, a "faptions" button (which can’t be explained in this post), a button to clean the character, and a menu with special actions, some behavioral decisions, and specific training.

It’s likely that the special unlocked actions will be saved here, along with the gallery. The same applies, and there are also "status effects" like liquids for those who decide to get dirty, which is why the cleaning button exists .In the end, the option to switch outfits between scenes has been chosen, although the status effects will remain. Considering the number of faptions, this is the right decision, but more detailed testing is necessary. Additionally, the status effects will be added to the dressing room for those who want to admire their art.

FAPTIONS
Obviously, I can’t show this in a public post, but here’s the idea:

On the upper floor, there are 6 locations, each with its corresponding actions—some more than others. The faptions will all be animated, while the others won’t necessarily be (I still have some self-respect).

Additionally, outfit decisions come into play. You can choose whether or not to "finish," as the number is limited. Depending on the faption, you can decide where to do it, with visual consequences that are accumulable. Not all will be available in this update because I’m afraid everything will explode, and we plan to try changing the animation speed in the future.

No doubt, this is a lot better than what I had planned back in April when I launched this. A collaborator is very important, especially one who really understands this. This has stopped being a personal project and has become a team effort. Although I still have the final say, haha.

There are a lot of explanations, but few images shown. It’s a lot of work, too much for healthy cycles.

I won’t be doing a public devlog for scenes or anything NSFW, and I’m not sure if I’ll even do them because the update is almost ready to drop. We’ll squeeze out every last day to make it as complete as possible.

But there are things that need to be explained before being presented.
