ISWI Chapter 696-698

Chapter 696: Super Saiyan Monkey!

Every onlooker was stunned speechless by the Holy Prince's apocalyptic form. Ye Chen himself raised a brow. Three Heads, Six Arms—okay, that was actually pretty cool. Just the visual pressure alone was impressive.

So he put on an expression of pure shock and cried out, "I never imagined you still had a trump card like this! For the first time, I feel the threat of death. And all three heads are so pointy! The horror! Holy Prince, you truly are terrifying beyond words!"

The taunting continued. The Holy Prince lost it completely. All three heads roared in unison. The roar shook heaven and earth. Then, like a primordial demon god of destruction, he charged at Ye Chen with power enough to annihilate worlds…

With Three Heads and Six Arms unleashed, the Holy Prince truly became far more terrifying. His physical strength had skyrocketed; every blow now carried horrifying power. Even Ye Chen inwardly nodded. Good. Now he didn't have to worry about accidentally killing the monkey if he slipped for a second.

On top of that, the Holy Prince's divine abilities and techniques were ferocious. The extra four arms constantly lashed out, fists hammering toward Ye Chen from impossible angles. They wove the Battle Secret together with the True Dragon Treasure Technique, manifesting one apocalyptic killing art after another. And those three pairs of eyes were put to full use. As his body spun like a top, six Fiery Golden Eyes fired golden beams nonstop, turning the air into a storm of deadly lasers.

At this moment, the Holy Prince resembled a massive golden gyroscope, whipping up hurricanes with sheer speed. Staff shadows, fist shadows, and the phantoms of killing techniques overlapped without end. A relentless tempest of destruction rained down on Ye Chen.

The spectators outside could only gasp in awe. Too terrifying! It was like fighting three supreme experts at once. How could anyone win against that?

For a moment, the anxious myriad races felt hope surge again. The Holy Prince could do it! But very quickly, their faces fell once more…

Ye Chen decided pure slugging wasn't ideal. The monkey was attacking so frantically. He needed to look overwhelmed. So he unleashed his Minor Space Technique. The space around him continuously collapsed in layers. Every collapse swallowed a divine ability or deflected a physical strike. It was an extremely difficult feat.

Yet Ye Chen's mastery of the Minor Space Technique had long reached the absolute pinnacle. He simply stood there, unmoving. With each ripple of collapsing space, every incoming attack vanished into nothingness. The Holy Prince's three heads grew progressively more savage and twisted.

Ye Chen figured he should say something. His face paled dramatically as he cried out in apparent shock, "Three Heads, Six Arms… truly horrifying… to think you could force me to such dire straits…"

But after saying it, Ye Chen felt it still wasn't enough. Just praising himself wasn't right. He needed to give the monkey a chance to posture. That was true emotional intelligence. Peak acting.

So, with utmost seriousness, Ye Chen asked, "Holy Prince, why have your heads grown even pointier?"

On the way here, the Holy Master had explained the mysteries of the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art in detail. The pointier the head, the higher the attainment. This was the second time he'd asked. He was practically handing the monkey the perfect stage to show off. Yet the Holy Prince opposite him gnashed his fangs so hard they squeaked.

Every ounce of his full-powered onslaught had been casually nullified without Ye Chen even lifting a finger. He was already furious beyond measure. And now this bastard was openly mocking him for not cultivating the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art properly!

The Holy Prince finally lost all composure. All six arms hammered down in a frenzy while all three mouths roared incoherently, "Kill you—kill you—"

Ye Chen's face darkened a little. This monkey really had no emotional intelligence. He'd been hyping him up so nicely, and the guy still threw a tantrum. Got that Super Saiyan gene or what?

The spectators outside fell completely silent. No one had expected the Heavenly Emperor heir to remain this relaxed even against Three Heads, Six Arms. His taunts hadn't weakened in the slightest.

The pride the myriad races' geniuses had just barely mustered collapsed once more. The Holy Prince had been forced to reveal a supreme divine ability like Three Heads, Six Arms… and it still wasn't enough. The Holy Prince… might really be finished.

The monkey quickly regained his calm and glared death at Ye Chen. The stone stele above his head shot forward, radiating profound light that enveloped Ye Chen. A mysterious power descended.

For an instant, Ye Chen felt time around him slow to a crawl. It was as though his personal time flow had been dragged down while the Holy Prince's had accelerated.

Ye Chen's gaze toward the stele instantly changed. The Stasis Secret really did have some tricks. He'd snatch it in a bit—couldn't let this raging monkey smash it to pieces.

Though the power was marvelous, Ye Chen could tell that with a single tremor of his Indestructible Scripture, or even just his new Primordial Chaos Supreme Body, he could shake it off like dust. But he didn't. He wanted to see what the monkey was planning next.

Seeing Ye Chen "trapped" and unable to interfere with his transformation, the Holy Prince threw all three massive heads back and howled at the sky. It was broad daylight. Yet the blazing sun seemed eclipsed by that roar.

A full moon rose into view. Endless moonlight gathered like a stellar river from the ninth heaven, cascading down in a silvery waterfall that poured over the Holy Prince's body.

Every onlooker—whether excited or excited, disappointed, or worried—changed color at once. They all realized what was happening.

"The Holy Prince's bloodline… is actually this pure?"

"The Primordial Demonic Ape could tear true dragons apart and feast on phoenixes. A terrifying divine beast of the Immortal Domain. They say the Victorious Fighting Apes inherited its bloodline…"

"Inconceivable. His blood is so rich he can actually awaken the Primordial Demonic Ape's power?"

"The only weakness of the Demonic Ape transformation is that the user loses control for an instant during the change, their mind blanking out. But the Holy Prince used the Stasis Secret stele to lock down the Heir…"

The crowd buzzed with shock. At this moment, everyone turned solemn.

Chapter 697: Perfect Performance!

Ye Chen could hear the spectators' exclamations perfectly clearly. Oh, a transformation? Of course he wouldn't sneak attack. They had only been fighting for how long? He had to drag this out for three full days—no less than that.

As for whether the monkey would become so strong after transforming that he might actually lose? Impossible. Even ignoring everything else, the instant he activated the Multiplier Secret, the first strike would crit. That alone would be enough to make the Holy Prince choke.

So Ye Chen obediently pretended to be trapped and quietly waited for the transformation to finish. Ever since crossing over to the cultivation world, whenever he met enemies who could transform, he would suddenly recall the manga he read in his previous life.

The villains always loved posturing, letting the hero complete their transformation without interrupting, only to get brutally crushed afterward. Back then he had thought it was brain-dead writing. But later Ye Chen understood.

It was exactly like grinding levels in a game for a whole year, then finally facing the final boss. One slash and the boss was already half-dead. Boring. Then the boss says, "Wait! I still have a second form! I can get even stronger!" You'd wait, right?

If it were him, Ye Chen felt he would wait too. While his mind wandered with these random thoughts, he casually raised a hand and pretended to struggle a bit. Before him, the three-headed ape had already swallowed the quintessence of lunar radiance.

In that instant, its eyes turned even more savage. The original golden glow became a bloody crimson. A berserk aura exploded outward. At the same time, its already three-meter-tall frame began to swell once more. Muscles ballooned. Golden bones screeched like divine metal grinding under unimaginable pressure.

The ape's body shot upward, its heads ballooning larger. Its six arms inflated like rising mountain ranges. The golden fur grew wildly, lengthening like weeds in a storm, while the color shifted from radiant gold to pitch black. Only when it reached a full hundred meters tall did the transformation finally halt.

At this moment, the Holy Prince's three colossal heads threw themselves back and unleashed a heaven-shaking roar. Its six arms pounded its chest in a frenzy. The sheer sound waves alone made the entire sky battlefield tremble violently.

The current Holy Prince was the very image of a world-ending demonic ape descended upon the mortal plane. Terrifying beyond comprehension!

Ye Chen watched, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly. This transformation sequence felt oddly familiar.

The transformation was complete. Strength roughly ten times greater. Okay, the monkey finally had something decent.

Ye Chen had been holding back for ages. At last he could loosen up a little without worrying about accidentally turning the ape into paste with a casual slap.

"Terrifying… truly terrifying. This monkey cannot be allowed to live. Next, I will have no choice but to unleash my full power!"

Ye Chen declared solemnly, then exploded forward like a bolt of divine lightning. Countless Treasure Techniques erupted from his palms. In a flash too fast for the eye to follow, he appeared before the hovering stone stele, snatched it with one hand, and instantly refined it with the Armament Secret. Then he tossed it straight into his inner world.

The Holy Prince, now a colossal primordial demonic ape, saw Ye Chen dare steal his treasure. He let out an earth-shattering roar. An arm thick as a mountain range swung down toward Ye Chen with apocalyptic force.

Compared to the hundred-meter titan, Ye Chen looked no bigger than an ant. Yet his blood qi surged like raging seas. He met every strike head-on, as though fighting for his very life. Each clash ended in a perfect stalemate. Then, incredibly, he began pressing the attack. One punch crooked one of the ape's three massive heads sideways.

Outside the battlefield.

The spectators had been dumbfounded by the Holy Prince's transformation into a demonic ape. The myriad races once again felt triumphant. This time he could definitely suppress the Heavenly Emperor heir!

Some even sneered inwardly: the Heir had committed the greatest taboo in the cultivation world—letting the enemy complete their transformation. Utter stupidity.

The human onlookers, meanwhile, grew nervous. But very soon, their expressions turned strange once more. Because inside the sky battlefield… yes, the Holy Prince was more ferocious now, trading blows in a blaze of fury. But somehow… the Heir was still the one with the upper hand?

He wasn't falling behind at all in raw physical clashes—that was already absurd. From time to time, he even smashed one of the ape's heads askew or snapped an arm clean off. True, the Holy Prince regenerated instantly. It wasn't a fatal injury. Yet no matter how they looked at it, the Heir radiated an aura of complete ease. Of course, he wasn't dominating the entire time.

Occasionally, he "slipped," letting the ape land a sneaky punch that sent him flying. After all, the monkey had plenty of fists. Those surprise attacks seemed perfectly reasonable.

Yet every spectator could tell something was off. First, the Heir possessed Heavy Pupils—how could he ever be "caught off guard"? Second, he commanded the Movement Secret, and now even manipulated space itself—how could he possibly fail to dodge? Third, every time he was sent flying, his body showed not the slightest wound, yet the blood he coughed up was enough to form a crimson river.

It wasn't just a little fake. It was fake in every possible way. And each time he tumbled through the air, the Heir would still shout praise like, "Your heads have grown even pointier!" or "The Holy Prince is truly unmatched!" If that wasn't mockery, what was?

The Heavenly Emperor heir wasn't fighting seriously at all. He was straight-up toying with the Holy Prince like a cat with a half-dead mouse.

After watching for a while longer, the faces of the myriad races' onlookers darkened completely. Disbelief and deep wariness filled their eyes. If the Heir had simply crushed the Holy Prince in one overwhelming blitz as he always did, it would still be shocking, but not soul-shaking. That was just how the Heir always fought. But toying with the Holy Prince like walking a dog… even deliberately faking injuries…

The strength implied beneath that playful facade was what truly inspired terror. Just how monstrous had the Heir become? An entire realm below his opponent, yet he treated the Holy Prince like a child. Letting him transform fully, then playing with him in the palm of his hand. That was the real "terrifying beyond words"!

Yao Yuezhi's eyes sparkled brighter than stars.

Yao Yuekong wore a look that said, I knew it all along.

Prince Lu Ya of the Golden Crow clan grew gloomier by the second, killing intent boiling in his gaze…

The Little Peacock King, meanwhile, was utterly stunned. He didn't think he could beat the Holy Prince in his current Demonic Ape form. Which meant he definitely couldn't beat Ye Chen. If the Holy Prince fell later… should he still step in?

Not stepping in would be utterly humiliating. He had trash-talked loudly earlier—half the Endless Sea had heard him. If he backed down now, everyone would say he was scared.

For a moment, the Little Peacock King's heart tangled in knots. Of course he wasn't afraid of Ye Chen. He simply… missed his aunt a little!

Inside the sky battlefield.

Ye Chen was having the time of his life. He felt his pacing was flawless—he had absolutely created the perfect illusion of a bitterly contested stalemate. Just like this for three full days, then finish off the Holy Prince. The outside world would definitely think he had barely scraped by, perhaps even believe he was at the end of his rope. Genius prodigies harboring grudges would surely leap at the chance to challenge him.

Thinking of the endless flood of origin essence about to roll in, Ye Chen's mood soared. And now that the Stasis Secret stele was safely in his inner world. He fought with even greater gusto. He vomited even more blood.

Chapter 698: It's Over!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

Ye Chen glanced at the increasingly berserk, Super-Saiyan monkey and gave a satisfied smile. That was enough. Three whole days. The outside world's estimation of him had surely dropped. But overdoing the "weak" act would backfire, so it was time to wrap this up.

The only headache was how exactly to end it. One-shot him? The crowd would instantly suspect he'd been sandbagging the whole time. Beat him to death punch by punch? A little too brutal, no?

Sweeping his gaze over the black-furred, raging ape, Ye Chen's eyes landed on that mountain-like tail. An idea sparked. The corners of his mouth lifted. He flashed forward like lightning while loudly commentating for the audience. "Your Demonic Ape form is not invincible! After three full days of battle, I have finally discovered your fatal weakness… Die!"

The words fell, and Ye Chen appeared behind the colossal ape. He casually blocked the twin mountain-crushing fists swinging at him, then seized the ape's titanic tail. His physical strength detonated. With a savage yank, he tore the tail clean off!

Black blood gushed like a waterfall. The Holy Prince's furious roar shook the heavens. The countless onlookers stood dumbfounded.

Ye Chen grinned wider. "As I thought—once the tail is gone, your physical strength plummets!"

The next instant, his speed reached its absolute limit. He charged straight at the ape's heads, the Multiplier Secret igniting. One fist thundered down. Confusion flashed across the Holy Prince's frenzied face. Since when was my tail the weak point? How come I never knew? But he no longer had time to think. Ye Chen was too fast—his six arms couldn't intercept in time. The fist arrived.

The Holy Prince's vision went dark across all six eyes. That single punch exploded his three massive heads, shoulders and all, into an endless cloud of blood mist. Even the dome of the sky battlefield was dyed black with gore.

Under such a devastating blow, the Holy Prince could no longer maintain his second form. His colossal body began shrinking rapidly. The extra four arms retracted into his torso. Yet the Holy Prince's physique was monstrous, and the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art granted absurd vitality. Even after that catastrophic injury, he still clung to life.

Ye Chen was prepared to finish him off. But before striking, he helpfully explained, "See? Without your tail, you can't even withstand a single punch from me!"

The next moment, he blasted forward to deliver the killing blow. Ye Chen was extremely pleased with his performance. The outside world definitely wouldn't think he was far stronger than the Holy Prince. They would only believe he won because he had cleverly exploited the ape's "weakness"…

Countless onlookers heard his words. Their expressions turned profoundly complicated.

Ye Chen glanced at the silent crowd—no gasps, no exclamations of shock. Perfect. He broke into a satisfied grin. Of course they weren't surprised. He had dragged the fight out for three full days. This performance had been flawless. From now on, the number of cultivators lining up to deliver their heads (and their origins) would definitely skyrocket.

The spectators, meanwhile, simply had nothing left to say. The moment the Holy Prince transformed into a demonic ape and was still toyed with like a puppet, the outcome had ceased to be in doubt.

No one had expected this. The Heavenly Emperor heir had played with his food for three solid days. Did he hate the Holy Prince that much? He had humiliated the monkey for seventy-two hours straight! And claiming the tail was the weak point?

Weak point my ass. The tail coming off did precisely nothing. It was obvious Ye Chen's aura had simply exploded, and one punch nearly obliterated the ape! As expected, you never touch the Heir's women.

Still, everyone had long understood one thing: the man who could toy with the Holy Prince as if he were a child possessed strength far, far beyond him. So when the Holy Prince's three heads were blasted into bloody mist and he reverted to his original form, no one was the least bit shocked.

Many geniuses from the myriad races turned their eyes toward Prince Lu Ya and the Little Peacock King. Before setting out, both had boasted loudly: if the Holy Prince fell, they would step in. But now, facing a Heir this terrifying—one who killed both body and pride. Did they still dare?

Prince Lu Ya's face was grim as he watched Ye Chen move to finish the Holy Prince, but killing intent blazed hotter in his eyes. He had never imagined Ye Chen could be this strong.

Yet the Fusang Divine Tree was very likely in Ye Chen's possession. And Ye Chen's breakthrough speed was this monstrous. He could not be allowed to grow any further. Otherwise, there would be no chance of reclaiming the tree later. He had to seize this moment.

Ye Chen so despised the Holy Prince that when he finally delivered the killing blow, his attention would be completely locked on the monkey. That instant—Lu Ya would flash into the battlefield. Unleash the Immortal-Slaying Gourd—one clean strike.

Ye Chen's flesh was indeed monstrous, his recovery heaven-defying. But Blade in the Immortal-Slaying Gourd was no ordinary treasure. Once it cut, even the Healing Secret would struggle to restore him fully. While Ye Chen's head tumbled, killing him would be child's play. So Prince Lu Ya stared at the battlefield with a dark expression, waiting patiently.

The Little Peacock King's face was ice-cold, but panic roared inside his heart. No chance. Absolutely no chance. He would watch Lu Ya first. If that golden idiot didn't move, neither would he. That way, even if they lost face, they'd lose it together.

Shared humiliation was half-humiliation. And surely no one would dare say it to their faces. If anyone did gossip and he heard it, he would smash them flat. After all, he might not be able to beat Ye Chen, but he could damn well beat everyone else!

Comments

They are likely using voice transmission to talk. So its possible 😝

Azulmar

The only two problems i see with this, is his acting with Lan Rou (Heavy Pupils girl, don't remember if this is her name) and the fact that he could clearly hear them speaking. I refuse to believe nobody is saying something that would give away that his 'acting' is terrible. Especially for 3 whole days. Apart from that, this was a fun read. Thanks for the chapter!

Togglingon

The little peacock has a good head on his shoulder but in all seriousness I would have dipped my happy ass out of there before the fight finished

lilcapt

Its like Saitama took acting lessons from Mr Satan.
