ISWI Chapter 727-729

Chapter 727: Ye Chen Has So Many Women!

Yao Yuezhi's parents waited with genuine sincerity, inviting Ye Chen to the Heavenly Demon Clan. They pledged absolute safety, vowing no mishaps.

Ye Chen smiled, glancing at Yao Yuezhi before nodding. "I'm quite curious about the Myriad Races Immortal City myself—eager to behold it. But as for thanks, no need. I rescued Yuezhi for my own reasons—it's between us, unrelated to others."

Ye Chen's stance rang clear. He had saved Yao Yuezhi because he wished to—drawn to her alone. Her brows curved in delight at his words, sweetness blooming in her heart.

Yao Yuezhi's parents felt profound gratitude toward Ye Chen. Yet seeing their daughter's eyes sparkle so, their hearts tangled with complexity. After all, Ye Chen's women numbered far too many! Even from what they'd heard, hundreds graced his life.

Take Heavenly Desire Sect—he had claimed the sect master and elders in full. Even within Heavenly Evolution Holy Land, any elder's comely daughter found herself conscripted to Harem Peak.

Ye Chen had even carved a peak in Heavenly Intention Holy Land. Ostensibly for over a hundred female disciples—all, in truth, his lovers. The excess boggled the mind. No parent wished their daughter to wed a man with such a horde.

Worse, the Little Peacock King had called Ye Chen "Dad." Ye Chen shared some unclear tie with the Little Peacock King's mother! They recoiled utterly. But Ye Chen remained their savior. They held their tongues for now, planning to counsel their daughter later. The pair summoned a high-grade Extreme Dao vessel—a towering ship—and bade Ye Chen board.

Any clan of note held an outpost in the Myriad Races Immortal City. The Peacock Clan's lay there too. The Little Peacock King and his mother joined the route. Thus, all ascended together. Especially the Little Peacock King's mother—upon hearing Ye Chen bound for the Myriad Races Immortal City, her lovely features flushed anew...

After all, though times had softened, humans and myriad races no longer clashed irreconcilably, tensions endured. Beyond old vendettas, resource rivalries abounded.

Central Continent sprawled vast, yet fortunes proved finite. More Myriad forces arrived, fewer scraps fell to humans. Thus, many humans eyed Myriad Races with enmity—on the Immortal Path, lone stragglers fell regardless of grudge. Myriad Races mirrored the practice, little differing.

The Myriad Races Immortal City stood as their core foothold in the Central Continent. Extremists preaching Myriad supremacy thrived within. Few humans ventured there. Those who did ranked as paragons.

Ye Chen's journey there risked covert strikes from radical Myriad titans—slaughtering this human prodigy. Yet Ye Chen accepted without pause! Braving such peril—perhaps to glimpse her more? Or honoring her prior pledge?

The Little Peacock King's mother grew even more bashful at the thought...

The tower ship departed just like that. Countless onlookers watched Ye Chen vanish into the distance, their eyes still gleaming with awe. After all, Ye Chen's feats edged even the Heavenly Emperor's in ferocity. But the question lingered. How terrifying was the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan?

They would never stop here—greater prodigies would surely strike next. Even in the future, that Celestial Prince might descend personally. Facing the one who had once vied with the Heavenly Emperor himself, falling short by a hair's breadth in regretful defeat, who knew what heights self-sealing for a million years had granted him? Did the Heavenly Emperor's heir stand a chance against the Celestial Prince? And Ye Chen dared to enter the Myriad Races Immortal City?

How many Myriad Races had the Heavenly Emperor slain? Blood feuds ran deep as oceans. Even Heavenly Emperor Hall had retreated into shadows after his departure, hounded daily by Myriad Races' powerhouses. Those harboring a grudge against the Heavenly Emperor—and thus Ye Chen—numbered beyond count. Thus, even with the Heavenly Demon Clan as guarantor, conflicts en route promised plentiful.

...

Ye Chen remained unaware of the Little Peacock King's mother's elaborate musings. As for venturing to the Myriad Races Immortal City, he sensed no peril. He even secretly hoped for challengers to emerge against him. To complete his far-leading Primordial Chaos Supreme Body, Ye Chen craved more volunteers to donate essence.

Along the way, Yao Yuezhi still yearned to cling to Ye Chen. But upon learning of her shattered cave heaven, her parents panicked utterly. Their precious daughter's immortal path—severed?

For them, this rivaled heaven's collapse and earth's rupture—a catastrophe beyond bearing. Her father booted Yao Yuekong once more, railing at his uselessness.

Yao Yuekong bowed his head in silence. Though loath to admit it, his sister had indeed risked her cave heaven's core to trap the foe and save him—leading to its collapse. They whisked Yao Yuezhi to a chamber, deploying myriad supreme clan secrets to probe her cave heaven's state, testing every remedy.

...

In the quiet chamber, Yao Yuezhi—threatening to meld into Ye Chen's very skin—finally departed. Luo Bingling pursed her lips, her face a mask of discontent. Since laying eyes on Yao Yuezhi, Ye Chen's every thought had been fixed on her. Rescue aside, he now rushed to the Myriad Races Immortal City, vowing to exhaust all for her Qiankun Cauldron.

The jealousy gnawed at Luo Bingling. After all her sacrifices, Ye Chen had never doted on her so. And Yao Yuezhi? But their second encounter—two mere kisses. And she reaped such bounty. This plunged Luo Bingling into quiet despair. She even toyed with leaking Yao Yuezhi's cave heaven ruin to the winds.

The Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan had already set its sights on Yao Yuezhi, and now three of their Half-Saints lay dead. The clan's face was utterly lost, and their grudge had only deepened. Selling the Qiankun Cauldron would be tantamount to aiding Yao Yuezhi. If they truly went through with the sale...given the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan's ruthless ways, they would surely retaliate against the Divine Silkworm Clan in time.

No one wanted to cross the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan. So, if the Divine Silkworm Clan learned the full truth, they would almost certainly refuse to sell. In that case, Yao Yuezhi would never rebuild her cave heaven in her lifetime.

But Luo Bingling only mulled it over; she never acted on it. On one hand, she disdained such petty tactics. On the other, if Ye Chen ever discovered her scheming nature, he would surely despise her. Yet Ye Chen's favoritism left Luo Bingling feeling deeply unbalanced inside.

Meanwhile, Ye Chen noticed her lingering petulance. He knew the reason all too well, so he let out a soft chuckle, intending to soothe her. Leaning close to her earlobe, he murmured gently, "On the way over, it seems we hit ten times in a row. How about a special buy-one-get-one-free treat for you this time?"

Luo Bingling's eyes rippled with a subtle wave at his words, a flicker of anticipation quietly blooming within them. It had been nearly three years since Ye Chen had last savored her. And how could she not look forward to it herself?

After all, the act did seem rather intriguing. Besides, in these years of reflection, Luo Bingling had grown tremendously and grasped many truths. A woman couldn't stay angry forever; she had to offer her man a way down from the ledge. If she gauged it just right, it would only draw them closer. But if she misjudged, it could shatter the fragile bond they'd just rebuilt.

With a coquettish glare that feigned lingering ire, Luo Bingling shot Ye Chen a look. Yet beneath her golden battle armor, her jade legs subtly shifted into a bow-legged stance.

Ye Chen grinned. In that moment, he realized this little vixen Luo Bingling, though stubborn and unyielding in battle, wealthy yet stingy, seemed to be growing all the while, far less arrogant than before.

Chapter 728: I Want to Give It a Try!

The location of the Myriad Races Immortal City lay at the northernmost edge of the Central Continent. Ever since learning of Yao Yuezhi's shattered cave heaven, her parents had pushed their speed to the absolute limit, yet it still took them a full week to near their destination.

The Myriad Races Immortal City had its own rules, enforced by a grand prohibition array that banned flight. At least those below the Great Saint realm could not soar directly into the city; they had to enter through the gates. The city's inhabitants numbered in the millions, and the gates buzzed with throngs of diverse beings. Though most appeared in humanoid form, a single glance revealed they were no humans.

As Ye Chen stepped down from the loft ship, he drew countless stares. As the heir to the Heavenly Emperor, his image from recording stones had spread like wildfire across the cultivation world.

Coupled with his suppression of the Golden Crow Crown Prince and the Holy Prince, his fame echoed loudly among the myriad races. Add to that the rumors filtering in from the immortal city itself.

In the instant he disembarked, his identity was recognized. At once, hostile gazes converged upon him. Some even belonged to Half-Saints or Saints. For an ordinary human arrival—no matter their strength—the weight of this atmosphere might have stirred dread and caution.

Yet Ye Chen remained utterly unperturbed, exuding calm indifference. He even found the leisure to scan his surroundings, searching for any high-multiplier myriad race female cultivators.

Once inside the city, perhaps due to differing races and cultures, most of the architecture diverged sharply from human styles, vast in its differences. Each bore the unique flair and essence of its own race, leaving Ye Chen's eyes wide with wonder.

The myriad races within the immortal city weren't all humanoid either. Many prowled in their true forms, shapes bizarre and varied, prompting Ye Chen to nod in approval now and then or furrow his brow in distaste.

Ye Chen even felt that certain myriad races resembled haphazard patchwork creations. But as he strolled along, his eyes suddenly lit up. For there, at last, stood the long-awaited cat-eared maidens and fox-tailed vixens. And in decent numbers, too—though even the prettier ones offered meager multipliers. Ye Chen even turned to Yao Yuekong at his side, inquiring about the race of these cat-eared maidens.

Yao Yuekong shook his head. "These fall under ordinary demon clans, with middling aptitudes at best—many even plainer than humans. They're basically at the bottom rung of the myriad races. In status, they're just a notch above slaves, mostly serving as attendants..."

Ye Chen arched a brow at that, but he didn't give up. If he encountered a high-multiplier one later, taking her back as a handmaiden wouldn't be amiss. After all, which man from Earth—who had crossed over to this world—wouldn't dream of a servant with fluffy ears or a tail? Having both, naturally, would be even better.

Soon, Ye Chen and his group reached a spot near the core district of the Myriad Races Immortal City. The Heavenly Demon Clan's outpost lay right there. Its scale was impressive, resembling a small city in its own right—proof enough that the Heavenly Demon Clan's standing among the myriad races was far from lowly.

The Little Peacock King and his mother prepared to return to their own clan as well. After all, they had deeply offended the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan this time around, courting endless troubles. The Peacock Clan's grounds sat even farther ahead.

The Little Peacock King clapped Yao Yuekong on the shoulder and murmured a few consoling words to Yao Yuezhi. Then, with a hesitant glance at Ye Chen, he spoke up anyway. "Thanks so much for everything this time. If you need anything later, I can show you around the immortal city and stand guard for you. I carry real weight here in the city. With me by your side, no one will dare mess with you!"

Ye Chen gazed at this loyal, promise-keeping "nephew" and nodded with a warm smile. Meanwhile, the Little Peacock King's mother observed her typically aloof son displaying such uncharacteristic enthusiasm toward Ye Chen.

In that instant, a faint blush colored her cheeks as she offered Ye Chen her thanks. But as she bent low in farewell—her voluptuous curves surging forward—a private voice transmission from her resonated in Ye Chen's mind.

Once the message concluded, perhaps from a touch of embarrassment, the Little Peacock King's mother swiftly ushered her son away in a hurried retreat...

Leaving Ye Chen with a faint twitch at the corner of his mouth. He truly entertained no such notions. The female cultivators surrounding Ye Chen had multiplied in number. So, for any existence lacking feedback potential—no matter her beauty—he held zero interest.

At the same time, one Saintess Yan Ruyu lingered in his thoughts, her appeal intensifying with each passing moment and stoking his growing anticipation. After all, the Little Peacock King's mother was already so breathtaking, arguably the finest mature beauty Ye Chen had ever laid eyes on. Yet even amid such temptation, the Little Peacock King fixated obsessively on his own aunt. It stood to reason, then, that this Saintess Yan Ruyu must eclipse her entirely. Under those circumstances, Ye Chen could never allow things to blur unclearly with her relatives. On issues of such fundamental righteousness, Ye Chen had always proven utterly steadfast.

With the Little Peacock King and the others gone, Ye Chen's group soon entered the grand hall of the Heavenly Demon Clan's outpost. Before, when they couldn't risk detection by outsiders, nothing much had been said. Now, though, Yao Yuezhi's parents wore darkened expressions, their eyes brimming with worry as furrowed brows betrayed their tension.

"I've already sent someone to plead with the ancestor," her father began, his voice heavy. "For the cave heaven's damage alone, our clan might still manage a fix. But with the core origin shattered... I'm afraid the only path is to use the Qiankun Cauldron as the new heart and rebuild the cave heaven entirely. Yet the Divine Silkworm Clan would never hand over the Qiankun Cauldron lightly! Though it's merely a high-grade Extreme Dao Weapon, its unique functions make it worth no less than a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon. And supreme Extreme Dao Weapons? They're priceless—practically the cornerstone treasures of any clan. Even our Heavenly Demon Clan possesses just one."

Yao Yuezhi's father rubbed his temples in frustration as he spoke. His own Heavenly Demon Clan did hold a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon. It had originally been earmarked for Yao Yuezhi herself. But after the mess she'd stirred up—antagonizing the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan and dragging the whole clan into enmity—the ancestors would likely harbor deep dissatisfaction. For a great clan like theirs, after all, supreme Extreme Dao Weapons formed the bedrock of their survival across generations.

Geniuses, by contrast, mattered far less. Great clans had endured to this day by churning out talents generation after generation, as plentiful as carp crossing a river. But Extreme Dao Weapons? There was always just that one. No need to guess—the clan elders would never approve trading a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon to salvage their daughter's cave heaven. Worse still, even if the clan relented, the Divine Silkworm Clan might refuse the exchange anyway. So, this truly bred despair.

Yao Yuezhi harbored no illusions either, shaking her head as she spoke. "Even if we paid a steep price for the Qiankun Cauldron, it wouldn't mean much in the end. Because no top prodigy would consent to letting me draw from their cave heaven's power—and if we forced it, they'd just self-destruct. Even if everything went smoothly, I'd end up with a cave heaven barely over a thousand li across—only a smidge larger than the worst ones out there. I'd still lose my prodigy-level combat strength and potential. Without a cave heaven spanning at least ten thousand li, it can't evolve into a minor world. I could never break through the seventh heaven! My ceiling's sealed shut. No matter how you crunch the numbers, it's a loss. So, let's just drop it."

Yao Yuezhi remained clear-headed; she'd long abandoned any hope of recovery. Right now, she only wanted to stay by Ye Chen's side. Compared to restoring herself to perfection, she believed Ye Chen's odds of ascending to immortality ran far higher. Sticking with him promised a brighter future.

...

And just as despair gripped the group, Ye Chen broke the silence. "I have a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon! So, no matter what, I have to give this a shot..."

His words hung in the air, and every soul in the hall turned to him in stunned disbelief.

Chapter 729: Having Kids Means Taking Turns!

The moment Ye Chen spoke, everyone in the hall froze in astonishment. Of course, they knew he possessed supreme Extreme Dao Weapons—even two of them.

One was the Compliant Golden-Hooped Rod, the other the Heavenly Emperor Sword. But the issue lay in just how priceless such weapons truly were. For an Extreme Dao Weapon to ascend to supreme status, it went far beyond mere materials. It demanded the imprint of its master's cultivated dao. And that imprint could only be etched upon achieving immortality.

Yet even so, one might expect supreme Extreme Dao Weapons to abound. After all, across ancient history—especially before the Heavenly Emperor's era—ascension to immortality faced no barriers. The catch, however, was that supreme Extreme Dao Weapons also proved the easiest to elevate into immortal artifacts.

Many cultivators, upon becoming true immortals, casually carried off their Extreme Dao Weapons, attempting to refine them into immortal tools. This very dynamic rendered the Extreme Dao Weapons exceedingly rare. Yet unlike immortal artifacts, they bore fewer restrictions; as dao-bearing weapons, their might far outstripped ordinary Extreme Dao Weapons by several folds.

Should one attain sainthood, they could unleash their full potential, bridging gaps dozens of times wider. From this alone, the scarcity and value of supreme Extreme Dao Weapons shone clear. And in this very moment, Ye Chen offered to trade one?

The revelation stunned them all.

Luo Bingling nearly ground her teeth to dust. She had poured so much into following Ye Chen, only to earn a single high-grade Extreme Dao Weapon. Now, he prepared to hand over a peak one for Yao Yuezhi's sake. It left her composure fraying at the edges. The joy from that earlier buy-one-get-one-free delight had largely evaporated.

Meanwhile, Yao Yuekong and the others wore complicated expressions, falling silent. They felt a twinge of embarrassment. But this concerned their daughter, their sister. No matter how slim the odds, they still yearned to try.

Yet Yao Yuezhi herself, after her initial shock, couldn't help but smile. Joyful delight sparkled in the eyes beneath her graceful willow-leaf brows. But she shook her head without hesitation. "Brother Ye, no need. I'm not worth such a sacrifice from you. As the Heavenly Emperor's heir, your immortal path will surely draw countless great foes. A supreme Extreme Dao Weapon forms the foundation of your strength. If aiding me weakens your battle prowess, I'd rather remain forever trapped at the second heaven! To me, your immortal journey matters far more than mine!"

Yao Yuezhi knew how to speak from the heart. Even in refusal, her words stirred pity and deepened affection. What the others didn't know, though, was that as she voiced this, she sent Ye Chen a private transmission.

"Brother Ye, I'm tired. I no longer wish to continue cultivating. My cave heaven's shattering didn't grieve me as deeply as you might think. These past days, I've simply been lost in sweet daydreams of bearing two children for you—one boy, one girl...

"The boy could resemble you just a little. And the girl, me a touch more. Thoughts like those fill my heart with uncontainable joy. So, Brother Ye, please let this go. In the future, all I want is..."

Ye Chen's mouth twitched.

No! You do want this. Only those useless in the cultivation world needed a break. With your five-thousand-fold multiplier, your cave heaven had to be restored. As for bearing children for me? Nice try.

Senior An had endured so long without guilt, and after all these years, she could barely hold back—rubbing against him during detox, but she still hadn't earned the privilege of childbirth. You little green tea, get in line!

So Ye Chen didn't even glance at Yao Yuezhi, waving his hand decisively. "My mind's made up! Yao Yuekong, take me to the Divine Silkworm Clan's outpost. As for the reason? Just say I killed three Half-Saints, and my cave heaven got a bit damaged. I find self-repair too slow, so I want to buy theirs."

His words barely landed before Ye Chen strode out of the hall without waiting for reactions, heading beyond the Heavenly Demon Clan's grounds.

He left the others in the room utterly dumbfounded. Gratitude flooded Yao Yuekong's eyes as he clenched his fists. "This brother-in-law? He's the one for me!"

With that, he hurried after Ye Chen.

Luo Bingling cast Yao Yuezhi a blank, expressionless glance before following suit. As for Yao Yuezhi herself, her gaze tangled with profound complexity. Just how precious did she seem in Ye Chen's eyes? Precious enough for him to disregard even a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon? Ye Chen truly loved her that much.

In that instant—even setting aside schemes for future immortal slots—Yao Yuezhi genuinely yearned to bear his children. A man like this deserved her unwavering devotion.

Meanwhile, Yao Yuezhi's parents had originally planned to turn back and dissuade their daughter, warning that Ye Chen made a poor match. Too many women around him. One day, he might tire of the novelty and simply walk away. But now, their expressions grew equally intricate...

For him to value their daughter so highly, sparing no expense on a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon. Sure, the flaw of surrounding himself with women persisted. But it didn't seem quite so unacceptable anymore.

...

"The Divine Silkworm Clan ranks among the great clans as well, with power and heritage surpassing even our Heavenly Demon Clan—and edging out the Peacock Clan, too. Back before the Heavenly Emperor's era, they could even vie with the Victorious Fighting Ape Clan for supremacy.

"This clan's innate talents terrified all who knew of them, granting them the divine ability 'Deceiving Heaven,' a technique of boundless wonders. Beyond that, they wielded the Nine Transformations of the Divine Silkworm, each metamorphosis bringing a massive leap forward. By the eighth transformation, one could achieve quasi-immortal status. And if the ninth transformation reached perfection, near-invincibility followed—boasting horrifying reserves of Qi, combat prowess, and lifespan alike.

"In the Ancient Desolate Era, a Divine Silkworm Emperor ascended to immortality and crushed the entire cultivation world beneath his heel, forcing even the Undying Celestial Phoenix Clan to bow in submission. The Qiankun Cauldron was the very one he had forged and left behind. Of course, those were tales from bygone days; the Divine Silkworm Clan had fallen far since then. But word had it they now harbored a monstrous prodigy who, at just over two thousand years old, had already attained the seventh transformation and delved deep into the Immortal Path!

"The Divine Silkworm Clan clashed with the Victorious Fighting Ape Clan countless times in the past, making them sworn enemies. Brother-in-law, if you offered the Compliant Golden-Hooped Rod, they might just agree to the trade. After all, that staff's offensive might is ferocious, and as a supreme Extreme Dao Weapon from their arch-rivals' lineage, the Divine Silkworm Clan ought to take keen interest."

By the end, Yao Yuekong's voice carried a note of guilt and embarrassment. After all, the Compliant Golden-Hooped Rod bore the true intent of the ancient Victorious Fighting Emperor. It ranked among the pinnacle of offensive supreme Extreme Dao Weapons in the cultivation world. A treasure like that, even great clans guarded with utmost care. Yet here he was, suggesting Ye Chen offer it up for his sister's sake.

Ye Chen nodded at his words. He didn't lack for supreme Extreme Dao Weapons. The Compliant Golden-Hooped Rod excelled in assault, but the Heavenly Emperor Sword fell short in no way. Not to mention the Divine Maiden Furnace and the Dragon-Subduing Yellow Spring Diagram. Losing the staff wouldn't sting much.

But securing the Qiankun Cauldron afterward? That would trigger a maxed-out critical hit. The feedback rewards would eclipse the staff's value by orders of magnitude. No matter the math, it paid off handsomely.

Still, Ye Chen didn't produce it. Deals like this demanded restraint, no matter the urgency or desperation. You couldn't come off too eager, flashing your chips like water. That only fueled the other side's greed.

Ye Chen might not sweat the petty losses, but he had no intention of playing the fool like those god-tier spendthrifts from his past life's web novels. The ones who got fleeced as walking wallets, yet strutted around convinced they'd "shown off" to universal adoration!

Thanks

Getting a critical hit off a supreme weapon and acquiring immortal artifacts is great, but I think he should also acquire a giftable supreme weapon and give it to one of his wives just to get several thousand supreme weapons to use as currency
