ISWI Chapter 793-795
Added 2026-02-01 05:47:54 +0000 UTCChapter 793: I'll Optimize You Later!
After finishing his gifts, Ye Chen departed. It wasn't that he had overindulged and raised his threshold too high. Or that the lighter flavors no longer stirred him. His cultivation simply neared a critical point. Naturally, he needed to seize the time and break through to late third heaven as soon as possible.
Within his small world, Ye Chen circulated the Heavenly Emperor Scripture. He sat side by side with Luo Bingling beneath the Enlightenment Tea Tree, illusory shadows of the Dao Cauldron and Nine Transformations Heavenly Furnace manifesting behind them. Both cultivated earnestly.
Ye Chen had initially worried Luo Bingling—having tasted the marrow—would cling to him upon sight. He had prepared to lecture her sternly: don't lose ambition over pleasure; cultivation came first. Yet unexpectedly, Luo Bingling proved even more dedicated than he.
As a War God Clan member, she treasured this hard-won rapid cultivation opportunity. Her clan had unhesitatingly chosen the divine son, abandoning her. Even when Ye Chen captured her into his cave heaven, the great powers showed no intent to rescue her.
These experiences not only shattered her lingering attachments. They ignited deep resentment within. She vowed to one day blast her clan's divine son to pieces. Make those short-sighted old fogeys of the War God Clan see clearly. What it meant to pick up sesame seeds and lose the watermelon.
Thus, Luo Bingling focused intensely. When it was time to play, she played wholeheartedly. When it was time to cultivate, she didn't open her eyes a crack. If possible, she wished to remain in Ye Chen's cave heaven until the end of time.
This amused Ye Chen greatly. It only deepened his desire to drag Lu Jing in—let her properly spur the slacker. But thoughts racing, Ye Chen soon calmed and immersed himself seriously in cultivation.
Since the last feedback yielded Chaos Spiritual Qi Sacred Origin Crystals, he had tossed them into his small world. Now, spiritual qi density had exploded over a hundredfold.
Moreover, it had sublimated into chaos spiritual qi. Compared to ordinary spiritual qi, it vastly accelerated cultivation speed. Yet in truth, Ye Chen felt no change in his own progress.
Not that the chaos qi was ineffective. Luo Bingling was practically soaring with joy. The effects were stark. Thus, the issue lay with his spiritual root. They had truly reached their limit—unable to go faster.
Ye Chen introspected. His pristine white heavenly spiritual root operated ceaselessly at maximum output, faint spiritual mist steaming off it. As though overheating.
Ye Chen even feared that continuing this extreme suppression might cause his roots to fail and strike. Though cultivation history recorded no spiritual root ever "breaking" from overuse.
The problem: no one in history had likely faced his level of amplification.
Primordial Chaos Supreme Body, chaos spiritual qi, unprecedented cave heaven foundation, various immortal artifacts, enlightenment tea tree overhead...
All forced his heavenly roots into perpetual full-throttle operation. Whether they might one day quit remained uncertain.
For now, Ye Chen had no solution. He could only silently encourage his root to hold on—keep going strong. Once his cultivation rose, he found suitable treasures. Perhaps a critical hit would yield something superior. Then he could optimize the heavenly root—let it rest properly.
...
The days that followed passed peacefully.
Every week, Ye Chen emerged from seclusion to deliver gifts to Lan Nuo. He no longer left immediately after. He lingered for sweet whispers and light intimacy—stopping just short. Along the way, he imparted dao and law insights, resolving her cultivation confusions.
Thus, a month later, Ye Chen finally broke through. Beneath the enlightenment tea tree, his already terrifying aura surged dramatically. A vortex of fearsome Spiritual Qi swirled around him.
Even Luo Bingling, deep in cultivation, startled awake—gazing at Ye Chen in astonishment. She had thought—with identical conditions and her own diligent effort—she might breakthrough to the late stage before him.
Yet Ye Chen proved swifter than imagined. Still, no dejection touched her. Her husband, of course—the stronger, the better.
Luo Bingling usually cultivated single-mindedly, but emerging now, she felt no rush to resume. Biting her lip gently, her beautiful eyes shimmered as she gazed at Ye Chen.
Ye Chen savored the explosive aura growth. The Nine Transformations Heavenly Furnace further amplified post-breakthrough gains—a satisfactory smile spread across his face. Now late third heaven.
At his current heavenly root conversion speed, another year of accumulation would reach the perfection—peak stage. Then, return to the Great Yan Continent for a Heavenly Desire Sect visit... But soon, he sensed a heated gaze upon him. Next came the sound of splashing water.
Opening his eyes, Ye Chen beheld Luo Bingling—clad in golden armor—immersed in the star pool. She twisted her waist lightly, exquisite curves and alluring dimples breathtaking.
After nearly a month of light flavors, Ye Chen's interest ignited. He rose slowly, striding into the pool...
...
Three days later.
Watching Luo Bingling force herself up—stubbornly resuming her cultivation—Ye Chen chuckled and drifted leisurely from the small world. Emerging in the cave abode, he noticed an active transmission talisman.
Opening it revealed a message from the Lan elder who had received a high-grade Extreme Dao weapon—inviting him to the main hall for discussion. No rush—come whenever he saw it.
Ye Chen smiled at this. His stay in the Lan family revealed decent people—proper family values. No wonder they raised a girl like Lan Nuo.
Similar to the Heavenly Demon Clan. Even without Lan Nuo's sake, Ye Chen gladly befriended such a family. Thus, for the meeting, a greeting gift seemed fitting!
Tidying briefly, he exited the cave abode, flying straight to the Lan main hall.
Within the hall, seven elders sat in closed-eyed repose. At their realm, days of stillness posed no issue.
Yet one Saint King frowned. "Three days already, and he hasn't come. Did he truly miss the message—or is he too arrogant? Believing his talent supreme, he disregards us?"
Though the ancestor had decided, two elders remained reluctant—feeling it let an outsider reap benefits. With more thought and effort, perhaps the clan could claim the Nirvana Sacred Liquid themselves. The idea of Ye Chen profiting pained them. Thus, they stirred up trouble now, hoping to sway opinion.
The elder who accepted Ye Chen's weapon was prepared to speak. But the next instant, all turned toward the hall entrance. A tall, upright figure entered—divine radiance flowing, immortal aura drifting.
Who else but Ye Chen!
Chapter 794: It's Mainly About Attitude!
As Ye Chen entered the hall, most Lan elders smiled warmly, nodding kindly. Only the two who had snorted earlier turned their heads away, pretending not to see him.
Ye Chen's potential was boundless—his future limitless. They dared not offend him. Yet thinking of treasures their clan might have claimed now likely falling to him filled them with irritation. But in the next moment, their heads froze.
After a simple greeting upon entry, Ye Chen did not seat himself directly. Instead, he waved his arm. Palm light flashed as streams shot forth, hovering steadily before each Lan elder.
At the same time, his clear voice rang through the hall, "During this visit to the Lan family, I have enjoyed the seniors' generous hospitality. This junior has nothing worthy to repay. I can only offer a few high-grade Extreme Dao weapons as modest gifts for the seniors. If the seniors have no use for them, no need to decline—keep them for the juniors."
High-grade Extreme Dao weapons?
In an instant, the Lan elders' eyes bulged. Gazes locked on the streams before them. Upon seeing clearly, they could no longer contain themselves—springing from their seats.
True Extreme Dao weapons. High-grade, no less.
Terrifying Extreme Dao pressure permeated, drawing collective gasps.
Among the elders present, several—even saints—wielded only mid-grade Extreme Dao weapons in daily use. The rarity of high-grade spoke for itself. Even those already possessing one—who would complain about more?
Recalling their own past hardships—risking life and limb for materials, pouring endless effort. Then, seeing these high-grade weapons gifted so casually, shock crashed through them like raging waves, lingering unabated. For high-grade Extreme Dao weapons were truly too precious.
"This is far too valuable..."
"Nephew, no need for such courtesy!"
"I've long seen you as family!"
"Oi, look at you..."
"..."
They spoke up one after another, smiles blooming as they demurred. The two who had earlier looked askance at Ye Chen now grinned like blooming chrysanthemums. Their eyes brimmed with approval and admiration.
Ye Chen proved courteous and measured. Their prior worries had been needless. Given this bearing, even if he ascended via Nirvana Sacred Liquid, he would never forget his roots—or abandon their Nuonuo.
Thus, the Nirvana Sacred Liquid rightfully belonged to him. They didn't say this because of the weapons received. Value mattered little—it was Ye Chen's attitude. And his attitude had earned their full approval.
"Nephew, you already gifted me one before. I absolutely cannot accept another this time."
The Lan elder who had spoken for Ye Chen earlier rose, shaking his head in gentle refusal.
Ye Chen's lips curved upward in a smile. With a light wave, the stream returned obediently to his hand. "This junior was thoughtless. Indeed, two offensive high-grade Extreme Dao weapons hold little meaning for senior..."
After all, not everyone matched Ye Chen's profound foundation—or wielded the Armament Secret to command multiple Extreme Dao weapons simultaneously. Extreme Dao weapons boasted immense power—but equally immense consumption. Ordinary cultivators could typically control only one at a time.
Seeing Ye Chen withdraw the stream, the elder felt a faint pang—yet deemed it proper. As Lan clansmen, they must uphold noble integrity. They could not be looked down upon—or let Nuonuo suffer the same.
In the next moment, however, his eyes bulged.
After retracting that stream of light, Ye Chen flipped his hand and unleashed another. "Two offensive high-grade Extreme Dao weapons are indeed somewhat redundant. Then allow this junior to gift the senior this flying vessel instead."
The words barely left his mouth when the Lan elders' eyeballs nearly popped out. The vessel's design was exquisite, radiating intense Extreme Dao pressure. A brief sense confirmed it too was high-grade.
Envy filled every gaze. For Mahayana cultivators, accumulating even one offensive high-grade Extreme Dao weapon demanded Herculean effort!
As for vessels, immortal robes, and such equipment—most made do with dao weapons. Many Mahayana spent their lives without a second Extreme Dao weapon. Wielding an Extreme Dao-grade flying vessel marked one as an absolute apex powerhouse in the cultivation world. Wherever they went, Mahayana female cultivators would glance sideways—even approach proactively, seeking "joint cultivation."
Ye Chen casually swapping high-grade Extreme Dao weapons left everyone reeling.
Just how many did he possess? How much had the ancient Heavenly Emperor plundered back then?
The refusing Lan elder was stunned as well. That wasn't what he meant. He had genuinely intended refusal.
"Nephew, that's not what I..."
"I truly care nothing for material possessions..."
"I'll accept this time—but only this once. Next time, absolutely not..."
"Yes, if you do this again, I'll be upset!"
His mouth protested, but his face couldn't hide the blooming smile. Inwardly, he already plotted: find free time soon, pilot this Extreme Dao vessel for a lap around Alkaid Holy Land. Let that woman who rejected him back then see clearly what opportunity she missed—make her regret it for life.
And that fellow from Northern Nether Holy Land—who flaunted his low-grade Extreme Dao vessel everywhere. Every auction encounter, he'd boast before crowds about acceleration, push-back sensation, and such nonsense. No one wanted to hear it—he prattled alone.
Next meeting, they must "discuss" properly how to pilot a vessel for true speed. And incidentally compare the low-grade versus the high-grade Extreme Dao vessels' differences!
...
In short, after this display, the Lan elders gazed at Ye Chen like a beloved nephew. Their enthusiasm nearly spilled into asking when he planned to wed Lan Nuo.
Ye Chen felt no sting. He possessed high-grade Extreme Dao weapons like stars in the sky. Even gifting them all away.
A casual session with Luo Bingling would yield another eight thousand. No issue. No ulterior motive—just sincerely wishing to lower Extreme Dao weapon prices for the cultivation world's families.
After pleasantries, they finally broached the main topic.
"Ye Chen, next I must inform you of something. This news was meant for you three days ago—unrelated to the Extreme Dao weapons you just gifted."
Chapter 795: The Magnanimous Lan Family!
The Lan elder continued solemnly, "In the fourth realm of the Immortal Path, our Lan family discovered a Seven-Colored Nirvana Jade gestating a Holy Spirit—accompanied by Nirvana Sacred Liquid."
A Holy Spirit?
Ye Chen's interest piqued at once.
Holy Spirit's origin was typically extraordinarily potent. But "Nirvana Sacred Liquid"—he had never heard of it.
Seeing his confusion, the group understood; the item was far too rare. They had only confirmed its effects after poring over ancient texts. An elder patiently explained.
Upon hearing it, Ye Chen's eyes blazed like stars. His heavenly spiritual root steamed daily—long overdue for rest. He had searched fruitlessly for a solution. Now, news of Nirvana Sacred Liquid arrived like a pillow when drowsy—perfect timing!
Gifting it away might yield roots surpassing even Sacred Spiritual Roots. Though inwardly thrilled, Ye Chen revealed little outwardly. Such a peerless treasure—how could the Lan family casually yield it to an outsider like him? Perhaps they wished him to secure it for Lan Nuo?
That posed no issue for Ye Chen. Yet beyond expectation, the elder continued grandly, "The Holy Spirit is too powerful. Our Lan family lacks full confidence to subdue it. We fear discovery by outsiders—losing it entirely. You and Nuonuo are close; we hold you in high regard.
"Wait a moment—we will share the precise location. Our clan has nearly unraveled the surrounding arrays. You may depart directly afterward. Nirvana Sacred Liquid is priceless. Should word spread, contenders would swarm—sparking bloodshed. Even apex existences might act. Thus, upon obtaining it, best refine on site..."
Ye Chen's eyes widened.
The Lan family demanded nothing—allowing him to refine it immediately? Directly letting him claim it all for free! This was Nirvana Sacred Liquid! A heaven-defying treasure capable of transcending spiritual roots—evolving them into Sacred Spiritual Roots!
Extreme dao weapons, though rare, could be forged given resources and time. But Nirvana Sacred Liquid required perfect heavenly timing, earthly advantage, and human harmony—none dispensable. Its value defied imagination. Calling it a pinnacle treasure of the cultivation world understated nothing. In effect, even ten high-grade Extreme Dao weapons combined paled against a single drop.
The Lan family so casually revealed it. Letting him pluck the fruit. This generosity—how did it surpass even his own?
Sensing his surprise, the opposing elder spoke candidly, "Only semi-saints may enter the fourth realm of the Immortal Path. Our Lan semi-saints remain junior—unable to contend against the Holy Spirit, even if merely early semi-saint. Guarding it indefinitely risks discovery. Better let fertile water flow not to outsiders' fields—aid your further ascent. Nuonuo has received so many gifts from you. Consider this repayment!"
This was the Lan family's final decision. Rather than haggle stingily with Ye Chen—risking discord. Or worse—losing the liquid entirely and breeding enmity. Better to gift it outright—sell a massive favor. So long as Ye Chen proved grateful as before, Lan Nuo would surely secure a heavenly gate slot in the future. Undoubtedly, the optimal choice.
Ye Chen smiled knowingly upon hearing this. He had to admit—the Lan family's handling warmed him deeply. And he had intended to gift the Nirvana Sacred Liquid anyway.
Yet after brief thought, Ye Chen withheld mentioning yielding it to Lan Nuo. Better surprise her upon acquisition. The feedback would surely soar higher.
"Since that is the case, many thanks for the seniors' great kindness. I will surely repay it richly in the future!"
Ye Chen thanked them with utmost sincerity.
The elders continued, "Our clan's two semi-saints are currently clearing the peripheral arrays! At the entrance to the fourth realm, Lan disciples await to guide you. To avoid complications from delay, depart at once."
Having decided to gift this opportunity as a favor, the Lan elders held nothing back. They shared the location directly and arranged everything in advance. Such open-handedness only deepened Ye Chen's admiration for the Lan family's magnanimity.
"Many thanks!"
With Sacred Spiritual Roots on the line, Ye Chen wasted no time. Not fearing competition—but dreading delay allowing another to claim the Nirvana Sacred Liquid first. That would be a massive loss.
Yet at that moment, a graceful, alluring silhouette drifted into the hall. "I wish to go too! Should any mishap arise, I can lend Friend Ye a hand!"
The newcomer possessed bright, expressive eyes and a cool, proud demeanor—who else but Lan Nuo?
Her aura surged powerfully—clearly advanced further since Ye Chen first saw her a month ago. Evidently, his recent gifts had benefited her greatly.
The Lan elders frowned at this. They knew Lan Nuo's strength well. Though far from Ye Chen's, few kings could match her. But facing a semi-saint Holy Spirit—danger beyond imagination. Letting Lan Nuo accompany risked disaster.
Moreover, having already informed Ye Chen, allowing her to tag along now might seem petty—as though still hoping she could scrape benefits.
Improper.
An elder prepared to dissuade her. But Lan Nuo winked playfully at Ye Chen. He recalled instantly: upon meeting, he had promised to bring her along for future posing opportunities.
Besides, the Nirvana Sacred Liquid came via Lan intelligence. Gifting it to another woman felt wrong. Bestowing it on Lan Nuo was ideal. It would elevate her multiplier perfectly. Her presence would facilitate the gifting.
Thus, Ye Chen smiled and spoke, "Fairy Lan's strength is extraordinary. Your company will surely aid me greatly!"
Turning to the elders, his expression resolute, "Seniors, rest assured—with me present, Fairy Lan will suffer not the slightest harm."
Lan Nuo beamed at this, beautiful eyes brimming with anticipation as she gazed pleadingly at the elders.
The elders exchanged glances. They had intended refusal to avoid Ye Chen's misunderstanding—yet he accepted proactively, even eagerly. After a brief hesitation and private transmission with the ancestor, they nodded in agreement. Letting Lan Nuo and Ye Chen spend more time together—fostering feelings—wasn't bad at all.
Comments
Ye Chen needs some high level spirit beasts in his Cave Heaven first. He seems to be concentrating on herbs and plants at the moment, and veggies and seasonings are important for a good BBQ, but he needs a source of meat.
