Nap time with mama
Added 2020-12-01 09:15:25 +0000 UTCTorch's home life was rough. It was in fact so rough, that at the tender age of five he ran away from home. He faced many perils while fending for himself in the wild. At one point he was chased by two rocs, a hydra, a tatzlwurm, a chimera and a manticore all within a span of ten minutes. How he survived this insanity was anyone's guess. He thought about trying to find his way home, but decided he'd rather be chased by predators again than face his mother's punishment of choice.
He kept pushing onward and eventually collapsed in the best possible place: smack dab at the entrance of a dragoness named Griddle's cave. From here on out his childhood was amazing.
Griddle adopted Torch without hesitation and was an unconditionally loving mother figure to him who was never cruel. Her biggest flaw was that she overfed the little guy and often comforted him with food. This caused some problems down the line.
To this day Torch is extremely protective of Griddle and will do anything she asks. A rival of his took note and tried to get to him by threatening his dear mama. This proved to be such a horrible idea it spawned a new saying in the Dragon Lands: "you can't spell torture without Torch."
