New Additions To SteinTrack Landing This Weekend

In the last poll you guys voted More SteinTrack! You have all been so patient while we got through my family trip, then Christmas, then New Year, and so I've been hard at work getting files ready for release, and what a release it's going to be! What can you expect to see this weekend?

1) Labels!

Many of you asked what the little dents in the side of the bin were for and why there was a gap around the label platform. There were so many comments about how my hardware drawer is so nice but then hand written labels.... Well, this was the plan!

2) Updates to the current LD Bins to help them print better and faster.

An injection mold technique designed to make more consistent surfaces when cooling and also works well in 3D printing. A relief cutaway from the back wall and label platform keeps the outside wall from budging during the print but still remains very strong!

3) SteinTrack Eco Slicer Profile

Because I am all about saving material while not sacrificing quality or strength, there will be a slicer profile release with custom wipe code and logic (must have StineWipe installed) that you can use to get very clean bins and another to hollow out your grids to save time and material. Also, the current design of the bins never allowed for the bin to touch the drawer when placed on the grid - this was done to use the taper to center the bin on the grid achieving a perfect gap all the way around (one perk of the 20mm spacing) - the LD bins and all future designs will see over 1mm of the base shaved off to further reduce print time and save LOTS of material!

4) SteinTrack DIY Trace and Extrude

This solution has been the most asked for addition to SteinTrack - the simplified cut and extrude - set will include sizes from 1x2 all the way to 12x12 in STEP format which is the easiest to work with in a variety of CAD programs. Simply bring the selected file into your CAD of choice, scale a photo of the item you would like to make a tray for, and extrude it into the tray. Label optional!

5) Fusion 360 Files

And because we now have a few Patrons on the Innovator’s Support Tier, I will be posting a few SteinTrack Parametric files!
