Bagoas in India

When Alexander the Great conquered Northern India, his beloved Bagoas, a Persian palace eunuch of extraordinary beauty - faithfully followed Alexander. I pictured Bagoas in Indian-like jewelry and with tulips in the hands.

Tulips were considered as symbols of love and romance, but they can have many other symbolic meanings. Tulips originated in Central Asia, the name suggests imperialism, being a Persian word “delband” translated as “turban”, so, by symbolic meaning, a tulip is associated with royalty, maybe because of how its petals have the shape of a crown.

Red tulips represents love, empathy, and sensuality.

Pink tulips – a symbol of caring, attachment and good wishes.

Black or dark red tulips symbolize power and strength. Their mysterious and elegant shade depicts royalty.
