Giant Bat WIP
Added 2021-05-14 16:46:43 +0000 UTCThe dragonborn giant bat riders will be next month's centerpiece minis. The giant bats will come in at least 2 different poses, one of which is shown here. The riders themselves will be seperate pieces so you can use the giant bat as a standalone figure.
The lance defenders riding these bats are the elite soldiers of the dragonborn forces and their training, as with pretty much everything else in thymari society, is focused around fighting dragons. The evasion ability was a no-brainer for their statblock, giving them a fighting chance against airborne dragons.
That being said, the lance defenders fight all sorts of different types of enemies such as the Untheric-backed demonic hordes during the Unther-Tymanther wars. The flechette pods, inspired from WW1 bombers, give the lance defenders a bombing run option to be used against massed ground forces. The flechette pod is also a seperate piece that you can, with a bit of modelling work, magnetise to swap in and out during play.
