I don’t really think the dub changed him too drastically. To me he came off really standoffish in the manga and in the sub as well. In this episode even in the sub he snaps at Nighteye and blames when Nighteye asked him to use his quirk.

They did Rock Lock wrong with this dub. He’s not this much of a dick AT ALL in the sub. Just more cautious than the others. They changed his dialogue and delivery drastically for some reason.

Quirks have limits. Rock Lock's lockdown wouldn't have worked early because Mimicry was at the height of using his quirk booster. Also you have to remember Shigaraki develops just as Deku develops. His tone and demeanor is on a different level than it was in earlier seasons.

They only made her badass because of all the horny school boy fans that love for her. She literally dropped out of a normal high school and went psycho slut, but they made her have crazy stealth and combat abilities all of a sudden. Remember when she faced Sue and Ururaka? She got handled by Grav girl easily, then all of a sudden she's outmaneuvering a pro like Eraser? My least favorite character by far because of that shit.

I think Chris is underestimating Toga’s abilities this episode. We’ve seen Aizawa take down a small army of minor villains, evade a sneak attack from Dabi, and immobilize a ton of folks without them being able to do anything. Toga took out a minor hero, got the drop on deku, reversed Aizawa’s capture attack into a back stab, and escaped without consequence. Toga showed that she’s able to get the drop on and counter the moves of one of the most competent teachers we’ve seen at UA. Between this and getting the drop on Deku during the license exam, toga has shown that she’s extremely dangerous.

rock lock sucks ass, but the dub voice actor makes him suck 10 times more. I read him on the manga, and saw it on jap first, and i was like "ok he is annoying as fuck, he sucks", but then I watched the dub and I wanted him to die, horribly.

Yeah I remember when the arc finished up in the manga, and it told us the actual amount of time that it took 😅 the amount of episodes/chapters just makes it feel longer

As always, MHA is running on anime time. They've been in the corridors for a few minutes at most. Rock Lock was able to lock the corridor down now because they just now started twisting. He hasn't been sitting around for an hour and a half (3 episodes worth), doing nothing. These episodes are all happening at the same time, over the course of just minutes.

I would like to petition that you watch 4-13 in sub not dub i think the voice acting in that episode at least is way better in Japanese ( I have watched it in both) BUT either way ill be watching your reactions great as always.

I hope they have Nahid back by next episode or episode 12 by the latest. Everyone needs to be in tip top shape and readily available for the reactions for episodes 12 and definitely 13. Episode 11 as well but I can look past one more episode without Nahid even though it would be nice if everyone was back by next episode.
