To answer the question. The wait between Naruto and Shippuden. Well if you exclude the fillers we had to wait TWO YEARS to get back to the main story. So from 2005-2007. If you include the fillers it was literally a week wait since Naruto was a continuous weekly anime that didn’t have season breaks like MHA for example. Hence the numerous fillers Naruto has in effort to not catch up to the manga.

After that, he used in when fighting Gaara in the forest, which impressed Sasuke. He used it when fighting Sasuke on the hospital rooftop, against Kimimaro, and again against Sasuke in the waterfall valley, when he created that human chain and flung Sasuke into the rocks.

To answer Suraj's question from the episode 1 reaction, it was around a three year wait that we had between Naruto and Shippuden, which is the same amount of time that passes in the show between the two as well.

To answer Suraj's question about how long the gap was in the airing schedule. For the Japanese airing it was a week between Naruto 220 and Shippuden episode 1. For the English version it was pretty weird, they stopped airing Naruto after episode 209 in January 2009, then started airing Shippuden in October, and also resumed airing OG Naruto 210-220, shit made no sense. But it also felt like a lot longer of a gap since those last 100 or so episodes are filler
