I call these recovery episodes because it shows that their injuries are serious and it just doesn't heal within a few days they take timevkind of like a break of the action and drama because honestly they need it

I haven't watched the episode yet, but you saying that really discourages me. Like why have the others on to react if they don't even want to be there? Do they have to meet a number of reactions to be consider a normie? Is there a quota of youtube videos to be in?

You're probably the minority that thinks that all the characters are bland as fuck and aren't appealing lmao. All three are great characters, solidly built with pros, and their own flaws, and compliment each other for the way they are. Clearly you haven't seen the anime or the manga in its entirety, because if you're saying that the consequent arcs and the past episodes which showcased the demon background stories are blank and underrated? I must say--your judgement is really terrible then. Everything in Demon Slayer is said to be very appealing and hyped because its so well written and well played out, with great character arcs and dynamics.

You'll realise that this episode and lapse in the battles are really needed to introduce and set the camadarie between the three main characters. The consequent episodes for the mountain arc are gonna be EXTREMELY HEAVY , both emotionally and mentally. It tackles a lot of issues that people may be uncomfortable with, but its also one of the greatest arcs in the Demon Slayer. I personally felt emotionally spent after watching the whole mountain arc. You'll shed tears, I can promise you that adklfjsdfk. So consider this as a lapse and build up to the best arc that is yet to come. The episodes only get much more solid and emotionally provoking from here.

Im gonna be honest all the characters are bland as fuck and they really aren't very appealing other than Inosuke. It is a decent little anime to watch but this shit was waaaaaaayyyy too overrated for what it was. I agree that Tanjiro is a very boring character.

Kamaboko Trio!!! I love them. I'm glad Nahid sees Tanjiro's kindness as something that is a great character trait. I hate that a character being faultlessly kind is seen as annoyingly perfect and/or boring.

Honestly for me the constant battle in Demon Slayer gets really tedious. I’m really glad for episodes like this. It lets us breathe and get to know these characters other than being in constant danger & tbh it needed more them. Of course you have to like these three in order to enjoy it. I personally love all three of them. They’re all extreme personalities that make up a fun dynamic together. So that’s why I tend to not be as invested when Inosuke & Zenitsu aren’t around.

Filler refers to episodes that are anime only to fill in the time between having actual manga to go off of not the term for any slow episode that doesnt drastically push the plot.
