Second least favorite episode of the entire series. I hate bottle episodes. This one was painful to watch. All other episodes this season were great.

FitzSimmons lately have been pushing others out and only relying on each other to save each other and causing them to be more selfish but the realization when they conjured daisy and Mack was that they do have others they can rely on. They aren’t doing it alone. This is important step for them.

2020-03-17 18:53:10 +0000 UTCAnd, yeah as you commented on, the scene with them morning Fitz is spectacular. Its such a genius way of doing it, by having them play the scene out so we know how they took it, jemma going from interacting with them, to seeing fitz reactions to it all.

She had some leftover goldpaint on her forhead from her time in the future, her clothes were the ones she had on Maveth, she was kind wet from her experience being stuck under the ocean, and she looked kinda zombieish as she did when she woke up in her framework.

It dealt with their realationship problems and got them back togheter for good, basically ending their arc. It had fanservice, it had callbacks etc. And it was funny and enterteining as hell on top on all of this. Outstanding work.

2020-03-17 18:16:52 +0000 UTCCrazy how they fit so many genres into this episode and it still works. Horror, drama, action, comedy all tied together and made believable by the acting of Fitzsimmons. The little things this episode are really nice as well. The walking easter egg of Jemma's nightmare self is cool. Fitz finding out about his own death but Coulson's death is what drives him over the edge is a great reflection of his character. The fact that when they make up with each other in the box is the moment the Doctor and Ringu Jemma start making out. (Not a little thing but) the first time they ever say "I love you" to each other face to face is when they are in some dream machine, physically separated from each other, pretty on brand for the Fitzsimmons story.
