Torture definitely works Chris. It doesn't in a A LOT (probably most) of situations but it depends on the case. The hardcore extremists hold out or lie but a lot of people would and do crack. They don't tell us about the cases where it worked. I'm anti torture by the way for the record.

Someone we all think to be one of the strongest, most powerful men in the entire show.

The “do as I say and we’ll get along fine but dare be something I don’t like and I’ll destroy you”. In the end I think the moral of “Black Sails” is that if everyone would’ve listened to the women in their lives warning them then none of this shit would’ve happened. 😂

Not only did they want to catch the ship, but Jack surrendered because they had Teach and Anne, and we already know that Jack will do basically anything for Anne. So was it the right move? Maybe not, but it's absolutely what Jack would do.
