Gentle criminal’s motivation is that he is terrified of the fact that he will be forgotten about. He always aspired to be a pro hero, but given his grades and his unfortunate mishap with the law that option wasn’t on the table. So he became a criminal in order to be remembered, although his character is still geared toward a hero mentality so he doesn’t believe in hurting people. Hence his name.

One little change made in the english dub that I think didn't hit as hard. When Gentle narrates "That's when I realized I had been forgotten." in the original, he said "That's when I realized... my dream was already dead..."

lolwut. No, they intentionally did a terrible job because Japan's full of weirdos. The last frame of reference they gave for both of them before introducing them to each other was 22 and 12. They didn't say there was time skip; they just literally showed her getting her heart broken in 7TH GRADE to immediately being suicidal on the computer and then her going to see Gentle. They intentionally drew Gentle to look old as shit, despite not being it, and La Brava to be super young looking. It's just creepy all around

Don't know why they were being weird about it when the U.S. has creepily low ages of consents as well. Hell, even in Indiana which they all live in, the age on consent was 14 back in 2019. Plus many prefectures in Japan have obscenity statues that raise the age of consent between 16-18, which is what most U.S. states have as well. Great, now Google knows I've been googling ages of consents in Japan and U.S.

While i still think Nahid has a small point as a ten year difference especially in the early stages of adulthood can still play quite a large role, it should be clear that Gentle Criminal isn't taking advantage over La Brava or tries to manipulate her or control her in any way. It seems to be quite a healthy romantic relationship that is progressing slowly with Gentle being a literal Gentle Men trying to protect La Brava keeping her out of harm. Their love Story is about acceptance and being there for each other. Gentle as the quite ecentric Gent that has some Guidance Issues in Life and La Brava as an quite fanatic fan girl. Because yeah, of course we feel bad for her when her Middle School Crush is talking shit about her feelings and she falls in a depression for it. But we also have to acknowledge that she is a literal Stalker. She hacked into Gentle's Account to get his address and stood in front of his door. Luckily here ends her "toxic behaviour trait". But goddamn, mixe a little bit Toga in her and that is Nightmare Fuel.

It was blatantly romantic. She doesn't see him as a role model. She got rejected by a crush and then found Gentle. She admired him and now she swoons over him to the point where she loves him. The only reason I don't see it as romantic is because he doesn't seem to be returning those feelings romantically as much as platonic. Otherwise literally everyone else has picked up on the at-least one sided romance aspect.

I gotta say though, I was a little disappointed that so much of the ending dialog with Gentle and La Brava was cut out. I know it may be sacrilege to say(and don't get me wrong, I love all of The Normies that's why I'm a patron), but Blind Wave had a really great reaction to this episode and I would suggest people to check that one out as well. They have a good discussion of La Brava and Gentle's relationship toward the end of their after show analysis.

The age differences wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously in this episode cuz of that he totally didn’t get the understanding of what was going on this situation it was just to show how much gentle meant to her and that’s how her quirk works and not once did it show that they was a couple still enjoyed the reaction tho 🙂

We also know she is 21 currently and he is 32 so most likely after 22 he started trying to get better trained with quirk ect then made is debut on video likely after a few years since he wasnt even good with his quirk at 18-22. So la brava likely finished HS to stay home all day doing nothing alone. She sees gentle meaning he has likely aged to late 20s making his videos badly. Likely she is 18ish and him 28-29ish. After a few years they have better teamwork and videos which they are cannonically 21 and 32. They. Basically have a 10ish year age gap at all times.

The most important thing about their ages is she found him early in his career and it's been 6 years since he started making videos. I think this places her in her early 20s and him in his late 20s or early 30s.

I understand that this was done quick to get it out but sometime soon when possible you might want to redo the editing. I saw the timer getting way too used up at the beginning and I knew some of the good parts were going to be edited out at the end. I would have took majority of the recap out because you skipped the flicking scene with Deku and you skipped the most emotional part with La Brava hitting Deku. Just some advice and I know it was probably not the amount of time you would have liked to edit this better but it would be best.

Some info. La Brava after school basically gave up life untill seeing/ meeting gentle. She is 21 in the show. Gentle at 18 was in his second year of school due to being held back and not able to succeed. (Society does not accept late bloomers like gentle as we can see with more time he has been able to make use of his quirk greatly) He was 18 when he tried to save that man. Then 22 when he realized he needed to change. He is 32 now. La Brava found him later in his career after training and trying to do things himself like make videos which was established. This also brings back the point in season two of not allowing people to fight villians or save people without a license. Its like if someone legally had a gun and tried to stop a robber in a store rather than get a cop or better trained person. Sure they might succeed but if they fail many more could get hurt.
