RCE didn't come on a piece mission they came to take whatever natural resources of value they could and sent scientists to check out the plant after Earth killed how many better refugees. There was like five ships in ep 1 trying to go to that planet

2020-01-07 17:20:13 +0000 UTCNitpicky, but the "basic" in the show isn't basic income, and the authors have been pretty explicit about commenting on that distinction, and I think it emphasizes the point about people being stuck even more strongly. With basic income, citizens can still decide how to spend their money, and there's still competition from businesses to provide better services, better housing, better food, better products, etc to convince people to spend their money on their businesses instead of their competitors. With basic assistance, people just get housing and food and clothing directly from the government and just enough to be kept alive. Nothing extra that might allow them to do anything else. Only the lottery. Just an interesting distinction. 2020-01-07 07:17:58 +0000 UTCYou guys seemed a bit confused about the Sojourner ship. Remember that the entire crew of Earthers was murdered and spaced like 2 episodes ago. The scene with all the bodies floating near the ring gate from ep 2. They were killed by Marco Inaros (mentioned last episode I think). So the U.N. knew that 1) the ship wasn't what it claimed to be, 2) the original earther crew was long dead, 3) the most recent guy who had the Sojourner was the terrorist Inaros. Avasarala was right to blow up the ship. Gao was blaming Avasarala for letting the Sojourner get taken in the first place. It proves Gao's point (sort of) because the Sojourner was waiting at the ring gate when pirates/terrorists got it. Waiting there because Avasarala wouldn't let anyone through. So this helps Gao politically.

I also felt myself conflicted when it came to Murty as a character because he has a reason to be pissed, but the way he is handling it isn't helping him at all. And i'm not going to lie I felt myself siding with Nancy Gao over Chrisjen during that debate.
