Oh, and because I was curious how far apart they'd have to be before the curve of the orbit would have to be factored in... Since I don't know their weights, I decided to just use 1 degree. As in: the Roci is 1 degree further around the planet than the Barb. Just FYI, astronomers use the unit 'arcminute' instead of degree for this kind of measurement. 1 degree is 60 arcminutes (Abbreviated 60') At 200 km (half the height of the ISS)... 60 arcminutes is a distance of 11,459 km apart (~7120 miles). So with an 800 meter tow rope, the circular orbit hardly affects the strain on the cable. But it also doesn't give the Barb a lot of room to try and veer off if the Roci has to 'slam on the breaks'. Alex is BALLER.

Real quick: regarding the tow rope... I heard some confusion about how it could work given that they need to go "up". Just wanted to do a quick ELI5 for anyone who's curious: Basically to go 'up' in orbit you go faster sideways. This is called a Hohmann Transfer. Try this: make circle in each hand with your thumbs and pointer fingers. Now stack them, and imaging the planet is in the middle. Now, picture the Roci going over your thumbs, and increasing speed. Keep your thumbs still and extend your pointer fingers making the circle larger. ... Now, the planet *does not* move toward the center of the larger circle as it expands. Instead what your visualizing is the "Roci" as it increases speed, it will be farther from the planet on the other side. Small corrective burns are required to stabilize the orbit at a set distance, but only to make the Roci go faster or slower. One last thing, in order for the Roci to speed up the "Barb" all by itself; the tow rope would need to have a tensile strength roughly greater than the total weight of the Barb. (Roughly, because tensile strength and weight are not the correct units to measure the load/work being exerted, but they are easier to imagine). I'm not certain, but I feel like they probably saved the last little bit of Power on the Barb to provide a very small amount of thrust whenever the Roci was also thrusting. This would reduce the load on the cable by however much thrust the Barb was able to make. Hoped this cleared things up a bit, I LOVE SPACE!

Everybody: *Talks about the serious nature of what's happening in Australia for the last several weeks.* Nahid: Nahid: *...."Nobody's talking about what's happening in Australia!"

The title is wrong guys lol but thanks for the extra episode! The ending gave me chills when I first watched it and I love the Holden & Amos dynamic.
