That is one thing about this episode is that they really tone down/censure how hurt Red Riot is compared to the manga, like, poor boy is BLOODY! When he falls back into Fat Gum and you see his costume shredded all that skin visible is bloody muscle in the manga.

From what I can guess from how much of the manga they're gonna fit into this season, I think season 4 of MHA is definitely my favorite. With characters like Eri and Fat Gum get introduced, they touch more on the big three of UA, and we get even more insight on some other characters from 1A. I can't wait for y'all to see the next arc!

Episode 2 of this show ... when Midoriya rushes in to save Bakugo with no quirk and no plan ... was pretty much when I knew I was hooked on MHA. One of my favorite things about this episode is seeing a callback to that moment from Kirishima's perspective. One act of pure heroism resonating throughout the universe inspiring heroism in others ... Midoriya was already on his way to becoming the new Symbol Of Peace. Good stuff.

NOT A SPOILER: This fight was censored compared to the manga. To Mickey’s point - Kirishima’s skin was indeed falling off when his body cracked. In the manga Kirishima’s body was completely bloodied after taking those hits for Fat Gum, most of his skin has been broken off.

One of the weaknesses of the English VA is the fact he loses how much Japanese VA is better at portraying Rappa losing his damn mind when he hits folks and they can take it. In the manga and the Japanese VA both get across so well Rappa likes a fight and drugs are for loser (insert 1990s anti drug psa)

The concept behind Kirishima is that our typical idea of a hero is someone who rushes in to help unafraid and that there’s a heroic gene in some people that just rush in and take action. MHA took Kirishima and flipped that notion and created someone that openly says “Yes, I’m afraid. But I’m gonna push past that fear and jump in anyways.” In that way, he’s more relatable to a lot of people than Deku.
