At least there are a couple of stand-out fights in this season and Thankfully the story is probably the best out of the 3 seasons.

My understanding with the animation is that the studio in question called “Marvy Jack” got handed the project only a few months before it was supposed to air last year. I’d say at least 5 or 6 months. That really isn’t enough time for animating 25 episodes. Most solo animators on youtuber take months if not years for one REALLY smooth and crisp animation, so to have 25 handed to you last minute it wasn’t an easy endeavor, and it shows with reused animations, still frames, and long pauses between spoken lines. They had to really work for the 24 minute mark. As others have said, there are a few favorite fights from the manga that were heavily downplayed, but I can’t hold it against the studio cuz under those circumstances it couldn’t be helped.

Lol for the couple of people saying they couldn’t notice the downgrade in animation have to be 1 step away from being classified as retarded 😂 cause the animation heavily falls off and could even be in the top 10 worst animations for anime all time just look at the highly hyped escanor fight lmao 🤣😂😂

I didn't notice the change in the Animation until people brought it up. Personally I don't mind because I like the Story and the characters

The animation is obviously not as good, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I really like the story and after a few episodes I didn't notice the change. Just my opinion.

Personally as a manga reader, I never really had any issues with the story, or the very least the parts of the whole story that this season covered. When I was watching this season's anime I kept making excuses to myself that the good animation would be held for the bigger moments of the season. But that just never happened. Normally the story will be good enough for me to overlook animation issues, but this was consistent and to some degree almost felt insulting (can't go into detail without spoiling)

I'm one of those people that is satisfied with anything. The animation, art style, etc. don't bother me one bit! As long as the story interests me, I'm watching/reading! I do have a question for anyone that knows. What time slot did this air in Japan? Does anyone know?

the story for this season is pretty good, ive read the manga and i was really excited for it but it was a pretty fat letdown with the animation and all that. Either way, I don't think anyone should stop watching because of the animation. The way I see it is, Anime only's got punched once in the face with the animation. They still have the story to look forward to and im gonna be honest, the story is at its best this season. Manga readers however... they got 2 hard punches right in the face. Not only did we already know the story we were the ones who were looking forward to this the most. I am still extremely upset over this really special moment that was the most hyped fight in the entire series didn't get the animation it deserved. Well well, shit happens. Story good, animation bad. Keep watching!

I have read the manga on multiple times, even after watching season 3 because of the animation. The story itself is amazing and is like the guys mentioned, this is a Romeo and Juliet situation and it's just amazing. But it's not only Meliodas and Elizabeth that we follow as a couple, there is also Ban with Elaine (they are hands down my favorite anime couple), and we also have King and Diane, they are just adorable AF.!!! I love reading the manga and watching the show at the same time. And this anime has some major WTF moments. I just hope that for the rest of the anime they go back to their old animation studio, because the rest of the story after this part of the season is EPIC AF.!!!!

Please please please. Read the manga chapters 231 and 232. Before or after episode 13, your choice. This fight was supposed to be monumental. But due to the lackluster animation fell short, that watchmojo had it as number 1 on awesome anime moments ruined by terrible animation. Even watch the fan animated versions on YouTube, like yassir animations or Aosy Art. The OST were on point.

A-1 saw that they weren’t making the money they thought with the second season so they handed it off to studio deen. It also sucks because studio deen had made some decent stuff like konosuba, but it was probably the staff that worked on it not actually the studios fault. Plus there wasn’t much money put into production an the third season. I still blame money being the real problem here

The animation made me sad this season. Netflix tried to fix some stuff but it wasn’t great either. I still love the show tho. It still has some of the best written characters and I finished it with the manga so it was great.
