Which isn't uncommon for anime heroes (example Goku putting everyone in danger for a good fight). They make for great compelling stories.

Also, Killua running into Netero's nen was a flashback when he was first scouting the Ant grounds. This was back when Netero was meditating (or vibing) as preparation for the invasion.

2020-05-13 21:26:17 +0000 UTCThe moment Gon threatened to kill Komugi if he was made to wait any longer was the moment you know Gon doesn't care about anything in the world besides avenging Kite at that point. And even then it's probably more about satisfying his own anger than avenging Kite. Threatening an innocent life, even one affiliated with "the enemy" is something Gon would never have done before this arc. Hell, in just the last arc Gon & friends all decided to forgive and not kill Genthru The Bomber, even though he killed tons of innocent people. But when Gon has someone he personally cares bout affected, it's entirely different to him. Gon actually has a very selfish morality.

The ending of the episode was so heavy and provided the gray areas that this show has done well for such a long time. This is one of the few shows where I walked into it with no information and can't fully guess what happens next . Fun discussion at the end!
