I'd really recommend watching Haikyuu subbed. Dont get me wrong, Dub is good in a lot of shows but for Haikyuu specifically, the dub is quite off not just with the voice acting itself but the translations

Hey guys! I'm so glad you've watched the first episode of Haikyuu! I love this anime, manga, and all the support it gets. I hope you all enjoyed and if not add it to the rotation, some of you may add it to your personal watch lists. I do believe the sub to be the superior translation for watching this anime. With the number of characters that the show adds over time, it may be better to stick to the native language do to the consistency of dub voice actors. Nevertheless, however, you view it. I hope you guys enjoy it.

As someone that likes dubs for a lot of big series, like FMAB, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, etc, I definitely agree that newer shows should be subbed. Funimation specifically, started getting cocky and taking too much liberty with translations in the last decade.

Have y’all gotten lazy? You keep choosing to do dubs these days. Not gonna like High key mad they watched Haikyuu! in dub. This is one of those anime’s where the sub is100x better. Also doesn’t the dub mistranslate a few things? I’ve heard that a lot.

I would edit this as they don't know the information about the soldiers and its pretty spoilery if they didnt know and find out. I didnt know and it made it amazing when i saw.

So dope you guys are doing Band of Brothers. It really is the best Mini-Series of all time. The Pacific is also really amazing. Others have mentioned as well that this is all based on the real Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division. And the old men in the beginning are the actual surviving members from Easy Company, the actors we’re all put in contact with the surviving members before shooting to get a feel for there characters. One thing in the episode that caused a little confusion for you guys, Bill Guarnere had been given John Martin’s jacket on accident. So when Bill Guarnere was reading it was just a letter from John Martin’s wife giving him updates on the war with casualty reports and Bill’s brother had been killed in Italy at Monte Casino. Which is why he had the reaction he did, John had been worried about telling him a couple hours before they jump. And it is called a Dear John letter when women write saying they are leaving the men. But this was just a normal letter from Martin’s wife.

For Haikyuu, please watch it subbed! I'm usually fine with dub reactions even though I prefer subs but in the case of Haikyuu, it definitely should be subbed! The translations are really off in the dub and honestly it's just pretty bad overall.

To whoever paid to have Haikyuu on the list for Reaction Requests, THANK YOUUUU! Maybe they won't like how cheesy the show sounds at first but I feel like if they want to get into a different feel than Naruto or HxH or MHA, a sports anime would be a great choice and Haikyuu is a sports anime to start! I'm not sure how this work but I do hope they consider watching this. I think Navi would be a great addition to the group of reactors too. She provides great insight on a character's feelings. PS. I don't want to be one of the viewers to say this but really, Haikyuu is best watched with subs. There are some weird mistranslations with the dub plus the cheers and conversations during games are better in their OG voices. 😀

My only issue with Haikyu not being sub, is that the dub is littered with terrible translation choices, and it butchers the fan cheering later on in the show. The acting itself isn't bad. But this doesn't really matter for a request, more so if it was were picked up.

Not exactly, straight off the bat they pointed out how hinata says “I” a lot instead of “we” which is a mistranslation and not the only one the show has. I’ve seen both sub and dub, the dunks funny but doesn’t hit the serious parts right

Band of Brothers... damn its been a while lol. And yeah I agree with everyone here that Haikyu is a subbed anime. Like Attack on Titan, the dubbed dialogue make it less engaging. Didn't translate well IMO.

In every single way my heart dropped when I saw y’all watch Haikyu dubbed. The sub makes this story one of the most heartfelt slice of life anime ever made and not watching it in sub just disappoints me like every show you decide to watch dubbed. This isn’t MHA please do yourselves a favor and move just a little bit out of your comfort zones, there will be no disappointment if y’all do. But I understand you guys usually don’t change ur mind on these decisions due to the minority validating this wrongly translated version of this anime. Either way enjoy but I hope you realize the majority of Haikyu fans watched the sub and will not watch another ep of the dub, but y’all don’t care. Enjoy either way!

Very glad you have BOB going. One cool thing is that every character was an actual person, and all the things that occur actually happened. Also the actors were cast in part to their resemblance to the people they are portraying. David Schwimmer is the spitting image of Lt Sobel.

I watched Haikyuu in both dub and sub (im a fan of both) and either way is fine. Don't let these sub only fans tell y'all how to watch it. It's funny to see them cry about how you guys are watching it in dub though lmao.

Pls continue reacting to Haikyuu!! It's amazing! One of my Top3 anime of all time! I really hope you'll react to the entire series, since it only gets better! FYI, in my opinion, and 99% of everyone else in the comments on your Haikyuu YouTube Reaction, the sub is so, so, so much better than the dub. The dub aint trash, its just not very good when it comes to eng dubs, whereas the Haikyuu Sub is amazing! The Dub truly is a parody: in both voices, acting, emotions, and dialogue, compared to the sub. The dubbed version even changes the dialogue between the characters / their lines. Haikyuu doesn't have an incredible dub whatsoever, but the sub IS SO FKN GOOD lol... and 100% more enjoyable. Maybe you even rewatch 1x1 with subtitles, since the dub gets a lot of translation/dialogue wrong. as i said, it doesn't even match the Japanese version / subtitles. But yeah, hope you'll continue watching the show!

The Band of Brothers episode takes place on June 5th, 1944 (except for the flashback training scenes.) So 76 years ago today. A funny coincidence that it was uploaded today.

It hurts me hard that you guys went dub for Haikyuu. I can understand it's easier to listen but watching it on sub feels more emotional and impactful that you don't need to learn Japanese to understand it. Believe me I tried watching it in dub and it's hard to continue past episode 2 and I rewatch the whole 4 seasons of Haikyuu sub 5 times already and never get tired of it. But if you are still planning to do dub I'll watch it regardless. P.S. I still prefer sub but you do you guys and gals :P
