In defense of Hugh not acting sooner, he should have but its understandable that he didn't -- had he seen one ghost yet?? I don't think he ever saw any til that last escape, but I could be wrong. Can someone remind me?

Learning that Abigail was a real child and was poisoned by Olivia was the biggest shock for me. It seems to me that who ever a person was in life is the type of ghost they become. Olivia was a mom who loved her child and just wants them back as a ghost. Poppy was a psycho in life and is still one in death. And the clock guy, just wants to fix his clocks. 😂

It's funny how many of you are saying what Steve has believed his whole wife. That Hugh didn't do anything. He just stood and watched. Hearing Chris say "take your wife to a hospital" kind of validates Steve's complete aggression towards his father. Because even if it was ghosts, Hugh still allows himself to be sidelined. HOWEVER I think him running from her during the final scene is entirely justified - he may be a man, but he's her spouse and when someone you love behaves in such a terrifying manner, it's natural to become scared.

the mom was brainwashed by poppy the crazy ghost to believe the only way to protect her kids from the outside world was to kill them essentially. why that is is explained in the finale

Exactly, it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Olivia was terrified about her kids getting hurt, but ultimately her own actions are what caused the trauma that likely led to them becoming depressed/addicted: she tried to kill them, killed a kid in front of them, and then killed herself, abandoning them and causing them to grow up without their mother (and father).

0 Ghost sightings 🤣 HOWWW did they miss that kitchen one? What a tragic story - by trying to protect her children from the future she sees, she unwittingly causes it to happen. And I agree with Marketa, Olivia was super susceptible to the house because of either underlying mental instability or becausr her walls to that other reality are thinner than most people's. Poor Olivia. And MVP Granny Hazel telling Olivia what's what!! I want to see what that old lady looks like irl, I bet she's adorable.

I feel like watching the show weekly ruins some of it, it's definitely better when u binge watch it imo because you remember more details from previous episodes, etc.

Poppy was describing killing her own children, since she was insane ya know. The boy in the wheelchair that Olivia had previously seen was Poppy's son. And Poppy played on Olivia's fear and her visions to get her to believe that "waking up" her kids would save them from the horrible future she saw, but it became a self-fulfilling prophecy.
